I’m using the diaphragm for the first time, and use a ph balancer to prevent thrust so the gel the nhs gives out it’s not what I wanted due to it being harsh on skin. This gel is completely clear, has no noticeable smell, a natural texture; it is a gel rather than jelly. So it didn't take anything away from the moment and I’m presently in the 6 hour wait before I can take the diaphragm out and feel no irritation or unpleasantness. It’s a shame that this is not available on the nhs, as I’m not working, and if using a traditional gel would end up needing more care and attention and it’s not that much dearer that the one given for free on the nhs!!

Awesome stuff. Vegan, natural etc. Little bit sticky after having sex for a while.Do not use if you are doing FAM as it will make your cervical fluid appear diluted and so it will be inaccurate.

Glad I patch tested first....
Love the idea of this. It smells nice but not strong, the consistency is sort of ointment like in thickness. Thankfully, I patch tested this first, and it immediately made me itch and break out in a rash. Sooooo glad I tested it before using it anywhere more sensitive!

recommend this method to anyone:)
New to using a diaphragm method and cant recommend it enough i love that its non hormonal and can be used when you need it as opposed to taking hormones endlessly 365 days of the year on the off chance you get freaky, have also tried the coil which was horrendous and cannot do natural family planning methods due to breastfeeding. I was given spermicide by clinic but a look into the ingredients was not keen as im quite concious on what goes into my body so thought there must be a more natural answer... this seems to be it!

It is great that the gel is odorless. Apart from that I can't rate it more since this product will show how sufficiency it is only after few months of use.

Other gels give me a horrible rash, the less said about that the better. This one give me no such issue, and I have been using it for the last 2.5 years with no problems. I do wish it wasn't so expensive, but I suppose one can't have everything.
