So we just got this for Christmas. Correction, my daughter got this for Christmas and the doll is awesome. Very realistic in facial expressions and responses. First thing, the battery and power switch is at the bottom of the doll. You have to open the onesie and open a compartment under the bottom of the doll. Its nice verses being right in the back of the doll. The body is soft and the arms, legs and face is plastic but not hard almost a soft silicone. Squeeze the left wrist to hear a variety of baby babble, you can rock it and it will make sounds and eventually fall asleep closing its eyes. Put the paci in and it makes sucking sounds, the bottle it makes sounds as if drinking. Put her left hand over her mouth she makes sounds as if blowing kisses and the right thumb, as if sucking on her thumb. Sometimes it doesn't do it immediately but wait a few and it will. Turns its head at the sounds of your voice. I was worried it would creep us all out but they did a great job in making it appear realistic and just adorbs!My daughter and I are having a blast with it. Oh by the way I was holding it upside down to open the battery compartment and it literally started to cry like a real baby..and it's on queue each time with the upside down action. So the sensors are on point and life like... see my vid you will see how easy it is to feel it's a real baby. Read the directions and see all features on the box to get full enjoyment from this doll. Worth every penny.I think this doll would be great for Alzheimer patients. Not a medical opinion just a thought. Brings out a maternal feeling as you can see I go back and forth describing the doll as it or she..easy to do. Looks so real.I will update a month from now!

Absolute best talking doll ever!! Body has nice weight, feels real to hold. The best part is the sounds are soft and not obnoxious. Anytime she makes a sound, anyone within the earshot smiles and absolutely loves it. They sound exactly like a real baby cooing and all of the adults want to carry the doll around and interact with it as well, because it is so rewarding! Didn’t love the somewhat alien eyes look about the doll, but went ahead with ordering it because of the good reviews. So glad we did! The look grows on you, and when that little doll turns her head toward your voice and bats her eyes at you while babbling sweet baby sounds, you are guaranteed to fall in love with her as much as the kiddos do! Be sure to read all the instructions about all the things she does and says, and how to get her to do them, or you will miss out on some pretty cool stuff!The only complaint we have is the location of the on/off switch. Had read about it in the reviews and thought people were being ridiculous and maybe slightly perverted to complain about it… but it actually is very odd placement, difficult to get to, and just seems “wrong” when you have to access the switch (maybe because the baby is so lifelike?). Surely the manufacturers could have made another choice.

I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter’s birthday, and she absolutely LOVES her new baby!! I’ve been told she has barely put it down for the week she has had it. It’s an absolutely perfect gift for her age. She also has a 6 month old sister, and it is so precious to see her loving her new baby “Zsa Zsa” (no idea how she came up with that name) as sweetly as she sees her baby sister being loved on. The responses this baby makes to rocking, feeding talking, tickling, and with the bink just completely captivates my granddaughter. She rocks her and sings her lullabies, she talks with her, and she is so empathetic to the doll when she cries, it’s just amazing. It’s also useful when her mom, dad, (or grandma) is tending to her baby sister for her to tend to her baby in the same way. She told me what she wanted me to get her was a new baby for her birthday- of course, she has quite a few babies already. We searched on Amazon together, looking at sooooo many different dolls, and checking out what they did and what came with them. ( that was a lot of fun listening to what she said was perfect about the babies or which ones looked liked they weren’t very fun) But, once I read all that this baby did, I knew this was the perfect one. It is a bit expensive, but I happened to get it when it was on a special for $10 or so off; however, it is so worth the money to see how much she loves to play with this baby. Now, I’m going to start sewing baby clothes for it, and make a couple matching outfits for the doll and my granddaughter. Hopefully, this baby will hold up and there won’t be any mechanical issues with it. If that happens, I’ll update my review.Update.. the material on the doll’s lips and the head are wearing off. My granddaughter still absolutely loves this baby and takes her everywhere. However, I am not happy about the material coming off. It’s concerning. I also agree with the other reviews about the placement of the on/off button being between the baby’s legs. I don’t see why it wasn’t designed with the button on its back.

I love this doll almost as much as my daughter does. Unlike a lot of noise-making baby dolls, this one does not sound creepy at all. It also doesn't have a robotic sound like a lot of them do. It sounds completely like a sweet little baby. I wish it were a little more realistic looking, but it does have cute features despite the cartoony look. The body is nice and soft which is unique for a doll that can move around a bit. The "skin" is also pretty soft to the touch and squishy, which is a nice change from a lot of similar brands. The baby can wear American Girl size clothing, so there are a lot of options for clothes, including the matching sets for a little girl and her doll. The only thing I am disappointed in is that when all of the dolls went on sale (which is when we purchased one), the caucasian doll was reduced half as much as both of the two darker skin variants, which seemed inappropriate. They should not have been priced differently based on race. Aside from that, wonderful doll. I kind of want my own!
