Wouldn't be without it now
Top ten one of the best kitchen items I've bought, used everyday, pancakes en masses, browning meat, searing steak, frying eggs etc. I it on a 80cm induction hob with linkable plates, I would say you need a big hob 80cm to 90cm if you want to use pans at the same time. Only real complaint is the handles can get in the way but you also couldn't not have them and I had to bend the handles up in a vice as it was too long for the width of my worktop. It's a good slab of metal and distributes heat very well.

Fabulous bit of kitchen cooking equipment. Buy it!
Too be honest I tend to write few reviews, time consuming and tedious. However sometimes you have to make an effort. I’m a retired chef of 50 years from the UK. I’ve purchased just about every kitchen toy you could imagine. My thoughts on this item? 1. Second you open the package you know, touch, see, feel you’ve purchased a quality item. 2. It’s heavy, nice, has great heat retention properties. 3. Pretty much….. (not 100%) but pretty much none stick straight out of the package. A few cooks resolves any minor issues. (im being really very picky) 4. Can cook pretty much anything you wish. Stir fry, steaks, fish, eggs, veg, omelettes, potatoes…… you name it, you can pretty much do it. 5. Fits my gas stove top at home perfectly. I can use lower the gas burners as I wish. Get the heat where I want it. 6. Easy to wipe clean. 7. Great cooking size surface area. 8. When you hold it, work with it, quality shines through. You know….. just know this is a one off life time purchase. It will last your whole life. 9. A cover/lid and press available. I already had both within my BBQ kit, I did not purchase these items. 10. Nothing negative to say. Once again, retired chef of 50 years.yes, yes, yes…. It comes at a price, it’s costly there are many cheaper. But this is a classic case of :- “You get what you pay for. Buy once, buy right” Strikes me, even in these early days as pretty much indestructible, kinda thing will be handed down through the family. That’s the kind of life expectancy you can anticipate. It’s carbon steel. Leave it hanging about wet it will rust. This is how carbon steel is, it’s not a fault of the product. Your finished working smear it with tiny bit of cooking oil On paper towel. Tiny amount, just enough to make it shine, takes five seconds. If you do mess up? Leave it outside for two weeks in the rain…. IT WILL RUST! BE AWARE IT WILL RUST. That said? If your a bit practical and own a brain you can easily recondition it, your good to go again, with no ongoing damage problems. Because of cost it’s probably not for every home cook. If you cook, like to cook seriously, cook fresh food (Not packet junk) like to experiment….. go for it. You won’t regret it. Great cooking area, stands high heat, huge flexibility, heavy great heat retention, a one off purchase. PS. Yeah…. It is a bit costly. Get over it, stop “looking” and buy. Promise you won’t regret it.

My 12yrs old hob
Well,it certainly heats up quickly on my induction hob but unfortunately it causes my 12yr old hob to shut down.It seems my hob doesn't like the griddle 'joining' two heating plates no matter if they are both on or only one. I will wait for awhile and see how my hob performs in normal fashion as some of its lights no longer work which indicates its age is starting to affect it,

Amazing piece of kit
This lightweight, easy clean griddle is perfect on my gas hob. I have been using it for almost everything possible. Great for breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, burgers and any meat you'd fry or barbecue really. It comes preseasoned but I'd recommend seasoning it yourself before use, I used it for a week or two consistently before it was really non stick for eggs but it's a dream now. If using inside you'll need good airflow via extractor fan or close to a window.

Love it, but heavy and rougher then I thought
I love it, makes amazing pancakes and so much room! I really need to get to know it more before final judgement but pleased so far Star off because 1- it’s rough, I’ve got multiple carbon steel pans and assumed this would be smooth like those but it’s probably half way to a lodge cast iron pan. Not the end of the world but worth knowing. It’s also very heavy so keep that in mind, and to big to fit into our oven (UK), so it’s going to be moved around a lot when we don’t want to use it etc. It also means you can’t season it in the oven & the texture means kitchen roll gets shredded when wiping oil. I’ve made some small fabric squares instead which work better
