Wow! Cut through 1/2" thick alloy effortlessly
I was very skeptical about this blade, because I've always been taught that cutting metal with any power tool designed for wood was a no-no. However, I needed to cut an 8-inch-wide chunk of 1/2" thick 6061-T6511 aluminum. Not owning a chop saw or band saw, I wasn't looking forward to cutting through it with a hack saw or an angle grinder. I decided that for $20, this was worth a shot. I put it in my sliding miter saw and used the adjustable depth stop to make a series of approx. 1/8" deep passes, just to be conservative. Wow! It cut effortlessly—no bogging, no burning, just plenty of little chips flying out the back of the saw. The resulting cut is really clean. I'm really surprised how well this blade works. I should have tried this long ago; it would've saved so much time on past projects.

Great product !!
Does a great job cutting the aluminum flat stock that I have using my 10 inch craftsman combination miter saw. Highly recommend this product.

Nice clean cut.
Bought shades for my home, $300.00 each. I measured one too long by 1/2". Seller wanted $150. to cut with no guarantees. Blade worked great for me! saved a bunch of money.

beautiful cuts
I bought this blade to cut hollow aluminum deck railing material. So far, all 50 cuts have been clean, and not one has required deburring. Of course, the nature of cutting aluminum is having small chips thrown everywhere, which requires a lot of cleanup. But the blade does a great job, and runs cool.

Good blade, cuts my aluminum well
I cut light aluminum - for patio doors, windows screens, etc. When a blade is no good my material will snag, rip, or have rough edges. Plus it takes a lot longer to get through my thicker stuff. This blade did fine and didn’t have any troubles like I listed above. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because I ordered this one and a competitor’s blade to check them both out and this one was just a slight notch down in performance. Still a good blade for the price. I’ll use it eventually without any concerns.

Cuts like a champ
I bought this blade to cut thin-wall (0.062") square aluminum tubing that I used to build walk-in cages for my budgerigars. Previously, I had used a hacksaw to cut the tubing to the proper lengths but I was always unsatisfied with the evenness of the cut. I had purchased a motorized miter saw several years ago and decided to buy a 10" blade specifically intended for aluminum cutting. That IS NOT an easy thing to find and certainly not at a decent price. I saw name brands selling for around $80 and that was too rich for my budget. The MASTEC blade was half as much, fit my saw perfectly and has performed flawlessly for me. Some folks have complained of teeth coming off but that has not happened to me.

I never though that it would work this well. I’m impressed.
I’ve been constructing a lot of things, using aluminum, lately. In the past, I’ve used angle grinders and a band saw, but never got the cuts as straight as I wanted them. I decided to give this a try, and I’m very glad that I did. I installed it on a 10” DeWalt miter saw. I’ve used it on aluminum pipe, round stock, flat stock, L-stock, and X-Track. It cuts like butter. Very smooth, very fast and very accurate. It also seems to stay very sharp. I will no longer have to spend time squaring the ends of what I’ve cut. If you’ve ever considered getting a blade for aluminum, I highly recommend this one. You’ll wonder what you ever did without it.
