Clamps are sturdy and clamp plenty hard enough. The socket has a nice sleeve inside of it to make good contact with whatever you plug into it and also holds whatever is plugged in nice and tightly. Used with a 12v tire inflator to change tire pressures during race breaks and it worked flawlessly

We have an Off Grid cabin and use solar panels and batteries to run several items - lights, CPAP, AM radio, etc. These items have 12VDC adapters with automotive plugs and have long cords so we don't need more than a few inches of cord on the "Clip-on Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Female Adapter". This one works great on the low amperage devices I've tried it on.My only question is 'How many amperes will this adapter safely handle? I can't seem to find out what gauge wire is used on this adapter.FWIW, the one I received is properly wired. i.e. Center post of the socket is "Positive" and the outside shield of the socket is "Negative".

Works great! The male connector of my power inverter stays in tight and the clamps fit the posts of a truck battery with no issues.

Works perfectly for what I purchased it for. I use it to plug my portable air pump into and then clip to the battery of my riding lawn mower. It's much easier to inflate tires there at the mower than trying to move mower with a flat tire.

This is really a cheaply made product. The clamps bend very easily. Spend a little more and get something better made.
