Performance, Ease of use
Amazing monitor, completely flicker-free! Programming feels so much easier with better screen clarity and wider viewing space. A huge upgrade for my setup. Totally worth it.

very great monitor!
This Asus VA24DQ monitor is just GREAT! After a simple setup to your particular parameters it is very clear, colors are great, very easy to use and setup. The 24 inch size was exactly what I needed and the refresh rate was great at 75 HZ. I used the HDMI cable to connect to p.c., and you also have a choice to use display port. A great monitor for a great price !!.

Not to confuse NVIDIA GSYNC with adaptive sync -- manual: G-Sync is NOT supported - updated
Update: compared to an ASUS PA27JCV for $800, this actually is a very good monitor. Despite the increase in resolution, it is difficult to see the difference with photos downloaded. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. The color palette can be adjusted on each and I get fairly close to the JCV. In the Amazon description: "Supports both Adaptive-Sync with NVIDIA GeForce* graphics cards and FreeSync with AMD Radeon graphics cards *Compatible with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series, GTX 16 series, RTX 20 series and newer graphics cards". It does NOT support G-SYNC which the manual shows and the description does not state just to be clear. A blog said "gtx 1060 supports adaptive v sync, it also supports fast sync". Probably not confusing to an avid gamer which I am not. So it doesn't really matter to me but at first glance may be confusing. The manual has an X by NVIDIA G-SYNC: NVIDIA G-SYNC ✗ AMD FreeSync ✓ Low Blue Light technology ✓ Flicker-free technology ✓ VESA Adaptive Sync support ✓ AMD FreeSync type FreeSync I think this ASUS VA24DQ has great color and intensity out of the box. I checked it with the Windows 10 Calibrate Display Monitor and didn't change anything. I noticed the color intensity and depth immediately. I wanted a VESA mount to get the monitor off the desk top. It is sufficiently wide and high for general computing which is all I do with it (23.8 inch diagonal). With a Display Port, HDMI and VGA (sub-D) it should work well for many people. This replaces my 32 inch curved display which frankly was too large for general computing.

Love!
I have been needing another monitor for my home office for a long time. For my job I need 2 monitors. They provided me with a nice 22” monitor to accompany the 15.6” laptop they provided, but my aging eyes just struggle too much with the laptop screen. It’s just not big enough and I found myself straining too hard to see, hunching forward and not sitting properly, and all that just causes all kinds of other problems. This has helped me tremendously! A lot less eye strain, a lot less neck and shoulder tension, and the blue light reduction feature is wonderful. The display is super crisp and clear, and colors are vibrant. I only wish the height were adjustable. But I can live with that. I am an ASUS fan in general, and this monitor, like everything else from this brand I’ve had in the past, it doesn’t disappoint. Great quality at a great price.

A non-gamer's review
I am not a gamer, nor do I do any serious video work, so I am not in a position to review this in terms of what many may find most important. Indeed, my vision is far from perfect and I suffer a form of color blindness. So if you want a review of the finer visual qualities look elsewhere. All I can usefully say about its visual quality is that it works great for my needs, with clear, sharp, bright display. So I will instead talk about features that matter to me. A great stand with easy setup Typically, when I get a new monitor, I have to fiddle with assembling the stand and attaching the monitor to it. An unpleasant chore that delays me actually getting to use the thing. And after working with the typical stand for a few days, I find myself ordering a separate monitor desk mount (which in turn needs to be assembled.) But the ASUS VA24DQSB stand was the easiest out of the box setup cabling that I have ever had. By far. Furthermore, the stand actually has the tilt and rotation flexibility and solidity that I need. This saves me having to get a separate monitor mount, and I really had this thing usable within a couple of minutes of opening the box. The cable management guides on the stand are also correctly less ambitious than others I've seen. Instead of attempting to completely conceal cables at the expensive of complicated setup and difficulty in changing things around, it takes a very simple and straight forward approach. The only downside I can foresee of having this stand is that heavier than what is typical. That might be an issue for shipping or moving it about, but if so that would be a minor one. It is only an issue if you plan to mount the monitor and so the benefits of the stand would be wasted on you. Connectivity saves on cables and adapters DisplayPort, HDMI (and VGA) mean that I unless I were in a DVI world, I don't have to worry about adapters, making cabling easier and means that I can use it easily on a broad range of devices now and in the future. I happen to be using it via HDMI from a Mac mini, but it is not wedded to that host. The USB hub give me 2 USB 3 type A ports in a convenient location. Again, making cabling easier. I realize that the features which most immediately appeal to me after having this for less than a week may not be what matter to others, but I do hope that this is useful for some.

Inexpensice, looks great!
This replaces an old monitor that only had DVI-D and VGA inputs, and I needed a Display port input for my new video card. Same screen size as my old one, but external width is slightly smaller - thin bezel all around. Excellent video quality. I use this for electronic schematic generation, not gaming, so I can't help there.
