Who's having more fun - the Grandkids or Me?
I love this train set! It is so well made and sturdy . Tiny Land Inc. seems to have thought out every detail. Here are some of the things that I love about it:The wooden tracks are smooth, and all the curves are double sided with the track impressions. It has a motorized train which takes only ONE AAA battery. Nice on the pocketbook if you're not using rechargeable batteries. Also, that one little battery gives it plenty of power to move the train up and down small hills, all with the passenger car in tow.It also has a manual push taxi cab which is lots of fun to push all around our growing city, to and from the included taxi stand.I love that this wooden train set has bendable people that fit inside the vehicles. The tracks are super easy to put together and take apart! Our 3 and 5 year old grandkids enjoy being able to participate in building the railroad too, instead of just watching Grandma do it. (I originally bought a plastic train set made by a different company. The kids couldn't snap the tracks together, or pull them apart.)Also because it's so easy to assemble and disassemble, you don't have to leave it set up as a permanent piece of 'furniture'. It all breaks down and stores back into it's original box if you prefer to store it that way.I can't say anything negative about this product. It's a great toy to play with and be a kid again!!

Hours of fun for my boys!
We purchased this product for my sons, who love Thomas the Train and friends. They have enjoyed this track for hours upon hours already! My 4yo is even able to put the track together using the picture instructions provided for setup (I labeled each track piece discreetly with their letters) or he makes up his own ideas! We have paired it with the deluxe train track set from Tiny Land because this set by itself is rather small for both my sons and very many trains.A few problems we ran into (but are not a big deal for us):1. the map on the (other) Deluxe set had a few minor errors on the picture instructions for putting this set and the deluxe set together into a 69 piece track - it was labeled as needing 2 "H" track pieces when only one is provided in the (other) Deluxe set and none are in this set. I contacted the company and they were helpful to clarify that it was a printing error and they explained which two pieces should be used instead. No biggie.2. Some of the interconnecting parts may have problems fitting together and be either super tight or super loose. Sometimes I have to try different pieces to see if some fit better than others, but there is one piece in particular for us that is just tight no matter what. This doesn't matter when I help set up the track and it is left together for a while, but it my sons want to put it together themselves or change things around, I just try to encourage them to not get frustrated and try to force it but bring it to me. I can totally see that part getting broken if someone tries to force it apart! Super loose pieces also come apart a bit easily if the track gets bumped to hard.3. There are train engines and cars provided in this set. Unlike the Thomas train engines, this engine does not have a magnet connector on the front of it AND the magnet on the back of it is opposite of the magnets on our Thomas trains. We wish it did bc my sons will just add other engines and cars to their train lines, but can't with this one and with the magnets being opposite this train engine cannot pull some of the Thomas cars facing the correct direction. I might try to find a way to add or change the magnets to match our Thomas trains. All this being said, I have no experience with any other brands or styles of tracks, so I don't know if any others are easier to use, have better fits, etc and I don't expect perfection - my kids are going to use it and put some wear and tear into anything we get! We are happy with this set! I like the wood track feature, the setup picture suggestions provide for getting started. The additional train engines and cars are a nice addition to our other trains (even with the opposite magnet issue).Things I really like:1. The bridge design on this set is MUCH better IMO than on their (other) Deluxe set. It stays up on its own and holds together better with the pieces attached to it. In the other set my 3yo and 4yo get a bit frustrated because the other bridge design falls apart much more easily.2. The set works easily with Thomas and Friends. They fit in the track lanes perfectly, they fit under the bridges just fine (except for Harvey the crane when he is pulling another train, it doesn't clear then).3.My kids can put this together themselves! (well, with some help at times but mostly independently, and they enjoy being creative with it).4. The additional little trees and signs, etc. are really cute! My boys don't really use the wooden people too much but they use the rest of the accessories. We are happy with this set and would buy again!

Interchangeable With More Expensive Brands
My grandson loves trains and has a lot of different tracks from other brands. These fit / work with those just fine. They are made of wood so virtually indestructible.Photo with this set mixed with others.

Great train track set
I love how this set doesn't have other miscellaneous pieces (like trees or buildings) that wouldn't get played with. The pieces are sturdy and easy for my toddler to put together himself. We did buy a separate bridge to add some interest to this set, but overall very happy with this purchase.
