THE INS & OUTS OF A PDO THREAD LIFT A PDO thread lift involves the implantation of fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads into the skin using small needles. These threads will remain in the skin, which will cause collagen synthesis to be stimulated, as well as tissue contraction. Typically, it will take about six months for the threads to be absorbed by the body, leaving the newly-created collagen in its place. The lifting affect will usually last between two and three years after the procedure. The procedure will take less than an hour to complete and is carried out using local anesthetic. Side effects, such as swelling and bruising, may last between two and three days. Afterwards, you’ll be able to resume normal activity. Review: I bought these threads a few months ago. I’ve ordered some the very pricey brands of threads in the past and decided to give Elves a try because of their great reviews. I was immediately impressed. The threads are of the same quality, if not better than the super expensive ones. They also seem to be the only company I’ve come across which manufacture the 25mm thread in the screw type, which I find gives an overall better lifting and plumping result. I definitely recommend this brand to anyone who is interested in using threads.
