One of Tamiya's Best
I had built many Tamiya kits before I built this one and I have built many since. This one is my favorite. There are just so many possibilities with this kit. There are two different models of the T-34 76 that can be built with this kit, early 1943 and late 1943 production models. Many accessories are included as well such as 2 styles of fuel canisters, logs, storage boxes, and spare tracks. There are also 3 figures included with this kit, not just 2 like on the box art since a driver is included as well. Four different decal options and a painting guide are included in this kit. I do not usually mind the Tamiya "rubber band" tracks, but the ones included in this kit were extremely tight and warped the lower hall (I probably could have fixed that by stretching them out). I doubt very many people would realize how old this kit is if Tamiya didn't put "1975" on some of the the sprues. This kit has a very quick and simple build and I would recommend it for those just starting to build model kits as well as veterans of the hobby who would be interested in all the possibilities in this kit and coming up with there own. Tamiya produced 4 different T-34s in total, T-34 76 1942, T-34 76 1943, T-34 76 chTZ class, and T-34 85. Although I would give a 5 star review to any Tamiya kit, this one remains my favorite.

Excellent and Authentic Model
My son is an avid model-builder and his Tamiya T-34 tank looks great! The only problem was with the tank treads, which seems to be a universal problem with ALL tank models. If you stretch them to fit, you're probably going to break a wheel or something. However - insider secret - black tape - Gorilla tape or even electrical tape - applied to the top where it doesn't show. You can extend the length of the tread this way and make it fit. You're welcome! He just started working on two more Tamiya tank models and they seem to be of the same excellent quality.

Older molds, but still a good kit
Although this kit is from an older mold, the accuracy and overall fit is very good. Extremely small amount of flash to deal with, and as usual with a Tamiya kit there is very little filling to worry about. The single issue I had was with the decals. For whatever reason, I had a very difficult time trying to get them to stay in place (even using Microset solution), and as they dried they became extremely shiny. I ended up removing them and using aftermarket decals. Fortunately the Soviets didn't apply many markings to the T 34, so I only had to deal with those on the turret. But that said, an enjoyable kit to assemble, and a fine finished product.

Easy, fun model
I hadn't built a model in years, but thought it might be fun. Chose this iconic Soviet tank cause it was one of my favorites and it was inexpensive. The kit was relatively easy and enjoyable to build. I really liked assembling, painting, and weathering, and it turned out pretty nice. If i could do it, I'd say it's doable by a beginner. For the most part, the instructions are fairly straightforward and common sense goes a long way. Good kit and a fun thing to do.
