When I say I’ve tried every single type of self tanner out there, that’s honestly an understatement. I’ve used everything, mousses, lotions, sprays, drugstore brands, luxury brands, you name it. Some were too orange, some faded patchy, some didn’t even show up. But this one? It’s on a whole different level. The color is so dark, which is exactly what I want in a tan. It’s rich, deep, and actually doesn’t wash off immediately when I rinse it. It dries fast and doesn’t feel sticky at all, and it starts showing up immediately!! This seriously is a GAME CHANGER! It goes on so smooth, blends like a dream, and doesn’t cling to dry patches or make me look like a patchy mess or looking like a turtle shell after a few days. However, i dont just use it by itself. Ive finally found a routine that works after trying a million different ways to keep my tan dark for at least a week. I apply Peta Jane in Dark first and rinse the next day because it gives that perfect base then I go in with this. After i put it on i go in with the Dolce Glow Post tan drying powder and that removes all of the sticky! Then the next day i go in with the Norvell Gradual tan or the Peta Jane gradual tan and i use that every day until i am ready to start all over again. I know its alot but it works for me!

Best self tan colour I have ever tried

So let me just start by saying this is another great product by Loving Tan. I am a huge fan of their 2hr Express tan in dark, and wanted to give this a try because it’s summer and I’m looking for a slightly darker shade. This tanner really is great for the most part, it goes on smoothly and evenly, the color guide is easy to follow and blend out, it does have a self tanner scent during application and just after the first shower but then goes away shortly, it fades evenly after about 5 days, and ultimately it’s a DARK tan. My only cons about this product are the price point (I think it’s a bit much in comparison to comparable tans on the market) and the undertones of this are not my favorite on myself. The bottle says olive undertones and that is definitely not the case. It definitely pulls more red/warm undertones vs olive like the Coco and Eve or Bondi Sands tanners do. So while the tan is a nice deep color, I didn’t love it on myself. I won’t knock it for that because I know everyone has a preferred undertone they like on themselves with self tanners. Just buyer beware it’s a very warm toned tanner.
