This is really a great solution: the latest battery technology, but with built-in smart BMS monitoring so it should be able to replace earlier gel batteries in older devices with earlier charge systems. I think of it as getting a major upgrade for an older product with a vastly improved deep cycle life. It arrived charged to 13.36v, but I topped it off first with LiFePo specific charger I have, ending at 14.52v, then after a couple of days, checked and found it had settling back to 13.68v. A check on current showed it was then a full 7.12A. Perfect! But I suspect I could have done it just as well with an old Battery Tender gel trickle charger I've had for years. With its own BMS built in, it should charge it pretty will with older style chargers so long as the charge current isn't high (keep it perhaps around 1-2A tops, and lower is fine), and not either really cold or hot ambient temps if the charger doesn't include any thermal charge cutoff protection. Which also means it should be able to substitute for an older battery type, giving that equipment a major upgrade. I One other big benefit I noticed immediately is the considerably lighter weight: 1Lb. 15oz. vs. 5Lbs. 2oz. for this same size gel cell (12v 7A). That makes a big difference when lugging around a UPS and trying to situate it under a desk up in a corner when it now weighs three pounds LESS, yet has a LONGER LASTING battery for less frequent service needs. Gotta love everything about these. One detail you might want to know is this battery comes with the smaller 3/16" push on connectors rather than the 1/4", so you might have to make or else buy some pigtails to adapt to many devices. I've run into this a number of times before, so I had some pigtails on hand so it could go into a UPS with a dying gel cell. The only other thing I'd have wished for was a version with a couple more amps for a bit longer backup runtime. But the trade-off of 100's of more deep cycles is worth it. Now, I just need eight more over the next year or two for all my UPS boxes, and an alarm system. But this type battery has to be the way to go, and maybe see better life expectancy for the dollar. This would also be an ideal replacement in newer cars with a memory life support supplemental battery, since they can potentially undergo many cycles if the vehicle has the all too often parasitic primary battery drain, aggravated by not being driven or given any additional charge for weeks. Overall, I give this five stars. Time will tell if it tolerates somewhat older charge systems via its built-in BMS, but hopefully it will have no issues.

I connected this battery to my scooter utilizing a parallel connection to increase capacity. Doing this improved the distance my scooter can travel on a single charge by several miles. This battery is lightweight, much lighter that my scooters original lead acid battery. It's small size and light weight mean this battery can be used in conjunction with my other batteries and stored on my scooter. Excellent value, brought new life to my scooter at a fraction of the price. I've charged the battery for over one year with my scooters manufacturers charger and a smart car battery charger with no issues. Lots of bang for your buck!

I received this battery to test as it was a 7.2AH rated battery and has a bit more capacity compared to other batteries that I have reviewed recently. It is the same size form factor as a standard sealed lead acid in 7AH (as shown in pics.. It has fast on quick disconnect terminals. They are .187" size, if you are looking to buy mating terminals for wiring. The battery is quite lightweight and about 1/3 the weight of a corresponding 7AH sealed lead acid battery. I checked the charged voltage and it was about 13.29V. This is just about 90% charged. This means it may have been recently charged and may not have spent any real time in storage facilities. I had made up a quick disconnect power harness and used it together with a good quality 3AH Lifepo4 charger to charge the battery. It did not take long to complete the charge as the battery was well charged already. It charged up to around 14.46V which is about as expected. I decided to test it under load using an amateur radio base station high frequency radio. I use this frequently to test batteries as it draws about exactly 2A of current. The battery lasted about 3 hours and 14 minutes. That is about what I would expect for a 7.2AH lifepo4 battery. I repeated this test another time to confirm the findings. The second test was about identical. I think this battery performed well. Remember to use a charger that is designed for lifepo4 chemistry and not one for sealed lead acid. As long as you use it within its rated capacity of 7AH, it should serve you well. This big advantage is how many charge/discharge cycles you get in the life of the battery compared to sealed lead acid. These batteries can also be stored for months without charging which offers great flexibility compared to having a battery that needs frequent charging to keep it up.

Very light weight, seems hollow inside. I am unsure about the 16WH rating. My battery tester did not have a specific setting for Lithium Phosphate Batteries. These might be useful for a battery backup unit that gets triggered often and has to be fully charged over and over after being fully depleated. Weight was 1lb 15oz (0.88kg)

I have had this battery for two weeks, when it arrived it was at 13.25 V and after two weeks with zero charging it is still at 13.25 V REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.

This battery is ultra light weight compared to competitors. I see this battery lasting my a long time with proper maintenance. I use it to power the lighting system in my minibike.

So, funny story, I ordered this on a whim, because hey, you never know when a 12 V battery might come in handy. The day after it arrived we went to pick up a used refrigerator because ours broke. While there I saw a UPS battery back up that was being tossed out so I grabbed that for free. Bring it home to find the internal battery had gone dead. Having had a similar problem a few years back I popped it open and to my surprise found that the battery was EXACTLY this size. PERFECT! I popped this new 12V batter into the freebie UPS and now have a battery backup for my laser cutter if anyone accidentally pops a breaker. Like I said, you never know when a 12 V battery might come in handy.

I got this in replacement of a battery on a professional grade elliptical with an old Lead Acid battery on the edge of failure. It has the same dimensions and specs as the original battery at about 1/3 - 1/2 the weight which was a nice bonus. It was an easy plug and play and one would hope. Oddly the bad battery helped correct a stuck motor issue I didn't anticipate. The old battery didn't have enough charge capacity left to reset the incline motor. As soon as I ran the first test cycle it reset itself and is back to functional. Great price on a new purchase.
