After a few bad experiences, I'm always dubious about buying socks on Amazon - usually they've been not quite as advertised, poor quality and poor fit. BUT, these socks are brilliant! They fit well (size 8UK feet), no bunching at the heel, a good fit but with loose enough cuff to not dig into the leg, soft toe box with minimal seaming. The socks are medium weight, with likely good warmth (not quite cold enough yet to measure warmth accurately).I ordered black, but they're more of a charcoal grey - that's my only gripe.All in all, I'm super pleased - have ordered a second pack.

These woollen socks were bought to compliment a pair of socks I bought over ten years ago from M&S and continue to give good service...wool is long-lasting, cushioning and warm for your feet. These were vacuum-packed and, after a warm wash in soap flakes and rinse, are an excellent knit. Thank you.

They're only a little thicker and better than cotton socks feeling warm to the skin. But even after following the advice on the packet to wash them to restore there true shape it hardly made any difference to thickness. But saying that they're comfortable to wear if not going hiking in the frost and snow.

Was bad choice. They are quite harsh to your feet, absolutely synthetic feeling. Feet starting to get itchy in few minutes you wear them. Waste of money, price is too low for woolen socks, I was tricked.

Perfect socks for winter , wether that wellie boots when it's wet and cold or hiking through the hills.

The seam along the toes is a huge wad of fabric and makes it feel like you've got something stuck in the end of your sock, very uncomfortable, have to wear them inside out to use them
