Cutter has a stiff blade and isn't sharp enough to cause injury. Handles are solid and firmly attached. This is a great product and isn't made of flimsy, cheap material. I do a Lot of baking and these are perfect for cutting bread, pastry, biscuits etc. Cutter/scraper saves me a lot of time and the pastry cutter is perfect for making flakey pastry and biscuits.

I love having both tools. Whenever I’m making cinnamon rolls or bread of any sort and it calls for certain dimensions I never can judge accurately, but this thing saves me. Easy to clean. I just throw it in the dishwasher.

The pastry blender replaces an old one with a wood handle. The wood had succumbed to time and moisture than made the handle too loose to safely use. This has a plastic handle, so it can go straight into the dishwasher without worry about a wooden handle.The scraper also has a plastic hand hold, so can also be put into the dishwasher. A nice feature of the straight blade on the scraper is the measurement in inches. It comes in handy when measuring biscuits or other dough.Both pieces are very solid and feel very stable in hand. The pastry blender is not as curved as my old one, so it takes some getting used to, but it works very well. I'm sure both of these pieces will last through many years of regular use.

I have not used a pastry blender since I was little and helped my grandma make pie crust. I could not figure out why she had to use it. Now I have started making scones and the blender works wonders with cutting the butter in. As for the scraper, one piece of advice that I got when chopping stuff up is never use your knife blade to pick up the cut pieces. It will dull your blade and can cut your hand so the scraper is a must have.They both wash up well and still look new. A great value for the price.

I purchased the mint color. The stainless steel is very sturdy. I looked for imperfections mentioned in previous reviews. The dough cutter/scraper is in excellent shape and it works great! I haven't used the pastry cutter yet. It could be smoother on the edges of the blades but it's nothing like the picture above. All my bowls already have scratches lol. So I'm not concerned with that. I did put lots of pressure on the pastry cutter and it's very sturdy. I think it'll work just fine. It's a really beautiful set and the stainless steel is gorgeous & sturdy.

I received the product earlier than expected. I find both tools useful for cooking and baking. The masher is also useful to mash potato, squash and other ingredients in soup. It is good to have in the kitchen.

Came in already bent, had to straighten it out. When using the pastry cutter, the handle rotates and one of the screw cannot be tighten and just turns forever. Would not buy again.

The way the handle is attached via screws means that it rolls when pushing down on cold butter and flour, which as you might imagine is a recipe for a mess. I tried tightening the screws but that doesn’t stop the handle from rolling. Get a pastry blender with a fixed handle!
