very impressed. i plugged this into my HP windows 11 laptop, expecting a confusing installation process, but nothing happened. so i go to my settings, look at the device manager, and the mic was already recognized, plus it automatically became the default. nice! i went to update the drivers, and it was already up to date. this is true plug and play. i got the white color, and it looks very sleek. i appreciate that it came with a mic stand because i would have totally forgotten about that. the sound is nice and clear, no buzzing or interference. if you're looking for a cheap budget mic, spend an extra $10 now and get this one instead. the quality is significantly better plus it'll last longer, it's a worthwhile investment.

According to the people hearing me, the microphone sounds fantastic. Looks good, sounds good. No complaints here.

I wouldn't recomend this. It actually sounds worse than the default macbook pro mic.

I livestream a few times a week, and I recently set up a cooking stream. I got this microphone to use for it. The mic comes with a stand (which I used for the cooking stream), but it can also screw into a mic boom. This microphone feels well-made and offers a nice quality-of-life feature in the analog volume knob. It connected to my Steam Deck easily, and I was able to use it right away. As for audio quality, it could be a bit better; while it was able to pick up my voice across the room with a sizzling griddle below, it also has a slightly poorer EQ than my usual condenser microphone. It also doesn't come with a pop filter, which is very important to me – I plan to get a foam cover for it for the future, although this will also cause the EQ to be worse. Overall, I like this mic – while it could be better, it serves my purposes well. I'll be holding onto this mic as a spare for unusual circumstances – or as a backup for when my main mic gives up the ghost.

If you're looking to improve the sound quality of your video calls or recordings, this is a good mic to choose for the job, although basic in features. USB connectivity makes it plug n play, you only need to set up the audio capture software for recording or configure Windows to use this device by default for calling. The included stand is a bit too low standing for my taste but the mic captures sound well, enough that if you were to invest in a larger mic stand it would improve audio quality with the ability to place it in an optimal position. The mic doesn't suffer from popping when pronouncing those hard consonants, a mesh screen encloses the device providing some level of pop blocking but an additional screen would likely contribute some improvement. Consider also mic placement as proximity to the sound source is the main factor. The included 3" tripod stand screws into the base of the mic housing and has fixed legs with rubber tips to stay in place on most surfaces. Directional positioning of the mic is done by rotating tripod, while the mic housing can be tilted up/down. On the front of the mic housing you have a gain control knob for increasing the mic sensitivity, the gain is smooth and of minor increase, finer and perhaps greater adjustments can likely be gained in your audio capture software. I am very satisfied with the product, build quality is on par with other similar products, design and aesthetic presentation is simple and clean, and audio quality is pleasing.
