Lindy Bop 'Daria' 1950's Summer Meadows Swing Day Dress

I like it, but it is different than I expected. The material is much softer, and far less defined than what I was expecting. Also, I have a lot of 50s/rockabilly style dresses. This one comes right to my knee. This is very unusual, because usually dresses like this extend at least 2 to 3 inches past my knee. It's just a completely different look than what I was expecting. Also, the ruffly part around the neck was not sewn correctly. I'm not exactly sure what to do about that. It's also very hard to explain it without showing it to someone, so about all I can say in this review is that it was sewn incorrectly. Still though, it fits well, it's just different than I was expecting. I'm sure that it will still get plenty of wear. If you are petite, I would think that this would be a very good dress for you as it is shorter than most rockabilly dresses.

The dress is lovely! But I had to order it three times to get my correct size. I typically wear an XL or a size USA 12. I went by my measurements, and the chart on both Lindy Bop's website and the Amazon product page said that I should order an XXL. So I did. It was wayyyyy too big. So next I ordered both the XL and the L -- the Large is what ended up fitting me perfectly!The dress is nicely made and was comfortable to wear. I paired it with a white crinoline and felt adorable in it all day. Its a great dress!

This dress is crazy cute! Lindy Bop dresses seem to fluctuate in their sizing depending on the style. For example, in this style (Daria) and in the Audrey, I'm a Large. In the Lana and Kelly I'm an XL. Unfortunately, I didn't know that when I placed my order and I got this in the XL and it was too big so it looked sloppy. If you're between sizes on this one I'd suggest sizing down. The fabric is absolutely gorgeous and the scallop detail on the neckline is cute and whimsical!​

This is one of my favorite dresses. The print and color is gorgeous. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because it does run a little bit large. It fits very nicely and it's nothing problematic but I would prefer it to be a bit snugger, I bought an XS I weigh around 110 and usually wold wear a 4-6 in dresses. Length wise the dress was a couple inches below the knee (I'm 5'2).

I've ordered a few other dresses from Lindy Bop and I always get a size Small. All of the dresses I have fit perfectly, except this one. I ordered a Small, but it feels like a Medium. I have a few extra inches on either side of my torso. The belt helps a little, but it still looks sort of awkward. I'm going to see if I can send it back for an Extra Small. The top is supposed to be fitted but it looks baggy.

Had to return it because it was too big on me. Normally I wear a size 8 dress and I decided on large based on the dimensions given in the size chart, Medium would have been a better choice. In general, I think this dress is super cute but not on me, even if it fit, i think it would have been a return. On the plus side, the fabric was a nice weight and it seemed made well. The colors really pop and this would be lovely for spring/summer events.

I got this dress a size smaller as recommended. OMG Lindy bop is so annoying with their sizing :O Some are too big, some are to small so go larger... its always a gamble with size with these guys. I have an E-F cup and am usually a size 2-4 but 10- 12 in bust So Aline is my friend . im 5'5 hourglass shape.Well an XS fit me all over lol Good for me. a bit snug on my lumps, but nothing bad.

Flattering fit, NICE fabric, well made. Waist is a tad to big but easy to take that in. I normally buy a medium women's when I am out shopping, sometimes a large, got this in a XL and very glad I did, would never have fit other wise, this particular dress does run small & snug. Color is NOT turquoise but is aqua, beautiful in any case. I am looking forward to wearing it when weather is warm enough.

I checked the sizing and choose 16 to fit my waist, although normally I am 14. So it is larger in the waist than advertised and too big overall for me.
