Crazy Korean Cooking Non-GMO Gluten-free Kosher Gochugaru, Fine Grind

Good flavor with a new twist on pepper taste. Medium heat level but depth in flavor. Opened up a new cooking genre with it's quality and freshness toward the Korean flare in fried chicken!

Love the spice level and flavor it adds to plain cucumber or salads. I even started using it on cooking and it adds a delicious taste to everything. Goes really well when you mix it with Tajin and black vinegar!

I got this for a specific recipe from America's Test Kitchen. I think the rest will be a wonderful base for a rib rub and as for a touch of interest added to my vegetable melanges.

This manufacturer's Gochugaru red pepper powder is delicious - not unlike a slightly sharper and smokier pimento, and in equal parts more intense on the front-end and more subtly layered on the back-end. I prefer its intensity of flavor to competitors offering Gochugaru in bulk. An additional eye-popping quality is the wonderfully intense red color, making for striking visual feasts. And to be able to secure a non-GMO version at this reasonable price point warrants a tip of the cap to the manufacturer. Korean Barbecue is about to explode into our everyday American consciousness, and when it does, the fascinating Gochugaru pepper - the precursor to the miraculous Gochujang Sauce - is sure to fuel that ride. So many complain about this company and how much money they make, this was an ok deal and I got it the next day. Making kimchi. American style. Deep, rich flavor and not a bad price plus, I got it the very next day. I have purchased many products that were double the price on Amazon, thanks to their generous return policy I never lose. This spice rocks, it's NOT overly hot and is a great replacement for paprika plus I didn't have to go anywhere to get it. That makes it a double win in my book. By the way, this was double the price on a few other sites.
