GREAT Little POE Switch!
Positively ZERO complaints! Very robust and perfectly suited for a home or industrial applications where a small POE switch is desired.Rock solid for me so far. I don't anticipate any problems and have been running it a few months now, but will update if it fails prematurely. (Unlikely, in my opinion)

Great value
I’ve had some of these in use for 2+ years now, was suspicious at first but they seem to be fine.

Died after 7 years.
This powered my access points and security cameras without any issues for 7 years - until one day after a power-cycle, it just decided not to turn on anymore. For the money, I guess that's not a bad value. I will probably have to buy another one unless I can find something else with higher reviews for the price.

works great for my new POE camera system
I just installed this in my attic as part of my new POE security camera system. It was easy - just plug 'n play - and has been working great. I was able to mount it to a 2x6 using the included rack mount parts, which wasn't ideal but seems quite sturdy. I have all 8 POE ports running 4MP cameras, and both unpowered ports are being used too.I picked this model because I ran Cat6A cable for all my cameras and wanted a switch that could utilize high speed data if necessary. I don't think it was needed for my current cameras, but I'm hoping this switch will last for a long time and possibly through future higher-def cameras. I will try and update with how it holds up through the rainy season and the summer heat etc.Update Oct 2018: we had an unusually hot summer and this has held up just fine so farUpdate March 2019: still working greatUpdate Dec 2019: almost 2 years later, it still is working great. I haven't had a single problem with it yet.Update Nov 2020: RIP switch! it lasted almost 3 years in my attic, a much less than ideal environment, so I'm not going to downgrade my rating. I haven't played around with it, but it is possible that just one of the main ports went out or something, because it still gets power it just wasn't passing on video from my cameras to my computer. I'll check it out at some point and if it was just one of the ports I'll report back, but I've already replaced it with a new switch with more ports so I can expand my camera setup.

Working great so far
Plug and play replacement for my last one that worked for 8 years. So far it’s working fine with no issues at all. If that changes I’ll come back and update this

Easy connection
Had to replace an older model that burned out due to an unprotected power surge. This model had more features and was simple to connect. Handles 5 phones and a couple of cameras with no issues.

Do Not Buy... Not a reliable Po3 at all
I am currently working overseas and bought three of these PoE switches ( one 4-port and two 9-port - 8 poe switches) to manage my IP Cameras. 3 months after the purchase, an 8-port poe totally crashed and fails to supply power to my cameras on all 8 ports... on the second 8-port, 4 of the ports failed and do not work at all. And on the 4 port poe 2 of the ports crashed completly, wonth supply power at all to my cameras, no signal. The problem lies on the PoE switches, NOT the cameras, as the cameras have been tested and working well on other accesible working ports from other PoE switches. I called BV tech support multiple times spoke to differnet people, left messages, they said a tech would get back with me, but here I am 2 months later and NO Solution at all. Now the main issue becomes that I am stationed overseas and cannot even return these 3 poe switches for a warranty claim or refund. I am not due to return to the states until October 2020. I don't understand how this PoE switches have a good review on the Internet as very reliable and be part of the list for the top 10 best switches in 2020... total lie as I am living proof that they are not reliable at all... now am out of options and worst of all stuck with most of my cameras not accesible due to lack of a working PoE; now my home is not camara secured, thank you BV Tech for making my life and that of my family more stressful now that we dont have access to our camaras for security. We cannot even leave the house for anything in peace cause we have lost that sense of security with our cameras inaccessible. If you bought this product, hope you having better experience then my famiily and I.

Working great! Solved many power / camera drop issues I was having with my system. Moving my cams off the NVR's POE ports to this dedicated switch is how I should have started my build. I can now access my cams directly over the network without having to log into and through the NRV, expanding my options for software & apps and a 2nd NVR for redundancy. My NVR is now remotely hidden, not having a bundle of POE cables to it. Bonus! You can hook your NVR directly to one of the non-POE ports and the other to your Router, they don't both have to connected to the router to have a functioning switch. I bought & paid for this device out of my own pocket on a whim seeing it was cheaper than the big name devices, No Regrets!

Misleading pictures
Regardless of what the picture shows, the unit I received does NOT have a separate uplink, so you only have 7 usable ports after connecting the unit to the network. Also, it came with an external power supply (52V). Not plugged directly as shown in the picture.
