I bought this battery as part of a larger plan to put some life back into my very old (but very beautiful) 2009 15” unibody MacBook Pro. The old battery was completely dead, the machine would shutdown as soon as the mains was unplugged.The battery install was pretty easy, the instructions are no good, but it’s easy to find a video about how to do it on youtube. It’s now had about 3 charge cycles now and the laptop is now lasting for several hours off the battery. No complaints. One thing I will say is the (poorly translated) instructions stated the battery was shipped uncharged and would need several full charge cycles and drains to run it in. This wasn’t true, the battery was shipped 60% charged and I suspect already run in. I gave it a couple of full charges anyway...Regarding the larger plan... I also bought a replacement 500MB SSD hard drive (which also helps power usage as well as disk access speed). I re-installed the machine with Mac OS X El Capitan (which is the most recent version Of OS X the 2009 MBP will run). You can use a USB drive with a bootable El Capitan image on it to do this. This can be created on any working Mac, instructions can be found on the internet or Apple will guide you through it over a support chat.After all this the machine is pretty spritely again. This is all down to the SSD, not the battery. Truth be told I suspect it’s faster now than when it was factory new. With the SSD the startup time is now well under 30 seconds, previously it was taking about 5 mins before it was properly up and ready. The machine is now perfectly usable for basic internet use, mail, video etc. And if I decide it still needs more oompff at a later stage I can always swap out the factory 8GB of RAM for a replacement 16GB.If you want to find other compatible parts, Apple no longer support this model directly (which is sad), but they will direct you to a reseller. I went to crucial’s website from the laptop, ran their machine scanner, got the part numbers and bought them on Amazon.

My friend uses his macbook a huge amount, with heavy workload everyday so the battery gets completely hammered, and it was to the point where it downright just refused to work so a replacement was needed.The laptop battery was easy enough to replace, with all of the tools included in the package which was great, speaking of the package it came in a well protected foam like package with an anti static bag around it to protect itIt just works as good as the original with great capacity which is just what I wanted, it is a little pricey however that is what you pay for a macbook really

I have a early 2011 Apple laptop bought in 2016 but the battery stopped charging two weeks ago. I have figured it out, that is very hard to get original new batteries into old laptops. After a bit of research I bought this Runpower replacing battery. It came almost fully uncharged (1%) so I wasn’t able to use it straight away, I turned of my laptop and replaced my original to this. I left my Laptop overnight to charge it fully before I turned it on. it looks exactly the same as the original battery. The Plastic feels durable, it doesn’t over heat in use. Fits perfectly in the battery cradle, no gaps, not loose just perfect as the original one.

Just had to replace the battery on my Wifes 15inch MacBook Pro Laptop... As it is used on the mains as well as mobile...the life of the batteries does drop after a few years... This battery id prefect for changing over with no fuss...
