Crystal-Clear Water with Easy Setup
I installed the FS-TFC 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis System under my kitchen sink, and the results have been outstanding. The water tastes noticeably better โ no chlorine smell, no metallic aftertaste โ just clean, refreshing water perfect for drinking, cooking, and even brewing coffee. Setup was surprisingly simple. The instructions were clear, and I didnโt need professional help. The compact design fits easily under the sink, and the 100GPD fast flow rate means I never run out of filtered water. I also appreciate the extra set of filters included โ a thoughtful touch that saves money down the line. The system removes up to 99% of contaminants, including fluoride, lead, arsenic, and heavy metals. The wastewater ratio is about 3:1, which is standard for RO systems, and the filters last 6โ12 months depending on usage. If youโre looking for a reliable, affordable reverse osmosis system that doesnโt take up much space and delivers excellent water quality, this oneโs a winner.

Great Reverse Osmosis
We purchased this unit, wondering if it was going to give us better water. We have a well and a water softener and my wife didn't love the taste of the water and I didn't like to use the water softener for working with plants. Our configuration was to just run the RO to the refrigerator so we didn't use the faucet. The start of this story was not super, but after the outstanding customer support I was able to install and had great tasting water. It did the job we were looking for it to do. 5 start rating for unit and customer service. More details: What I loved about this unit is that it had literally everything I needed to put it in. I have to say, this is the first time I've used the quick connect and it was intimidating and worrisome. But after using it and learning that you just have to push the outside ring inwards to get the pipe out and the little blue c rings keep that ring out, thus not allowing the plastic pipe to come out unwanted, I was relived. And they are so easy to work with, it is almost embarrasingly easy! The seller ships the unit with a pretty much plug and play manner, but also includes extras like water line, multiple quick connect adapters, the valve you can use and the sink faucet. Even Teflon tape. As with most instructions, reading them made the installation easier. Even the diagram on the instructions to take off the pipe would have saved me watching youtube videos on the topic. To install, you basically have to connect 4 lines to/from the unit. IN, OUT, DRAIN and TANK. I installed it in phases by connecting a 1/4" plastic pipe to the quick connect, into a 1gal water container. * starting at the line going into the pressure regulator - making sure water was coming from the line * out of the regulator * out of the unit * final configuration before connecting it to my refrigerator Bottom line is this worked great and I am very pleased. One thing to remember with the RO systems. The water goes through a bunch of filtration and then goes through a membrane, and the pressure is controlled by a pressure valve. Therefore, if you run the water directly through the RO, the water doesn't run fast. it took about 7 minutes to fill 12 cups of water when I first connected it up. About 30 minutes later, the 12 cups took less than a minute....more... Once the system is in its final state and if you leave it be for 15 minutes or so, the water comes out of the faucet (in my case refrigerator) like you'd expect. This is caused by that water tank that comes with the unit.

Amazing water; Easy to install
Iโm not often this impressed, but I gotta say I AM with this under-sink RO system! I bought a house in the country thats on well water, and while the water tested great, its hard water with a lot of calcium in it. The calcium deposits leave behind a a grainy/crystalized powder that ruined a Kurg coffee maker and an Ice Maker and we also discovered that my wife has a sensitivity to the heavy calcium and it has caused some health issues for her. I priced out a whole home system, but thats out of my budget. I discovered these under-sink systems that I can install myself and were WAY more affordable. I chose this system because it was the most compact 5 stage RO system I could find. This kitchen hasenโt been remodeled since the early 90โs and i have limited space under the sink. Installation was EASY, took less then 2 hours, and the kit contained everything needed (except for a few basic hand tools; drill, crescent wrench, and a few wood screws). After turning the water back on and checking for leaks (none) it took about 2 hours for the system to fully fill up (my well is set to 45/80 psi), then a quick system flushโฆ. And now we have beautiful, clean, healthy RO water, and it tastes Great! Good for my appliances and healthier for my wife. Home Run! All from a kit for under $150.00 AND it came with a set of replacement filters to!

Important, please read! Could save you $$
I purchased this system for our family of 3, plus pets and plants. I installed it under the kitchen sink along with a couple of other components, but I quickly learned a few things to help others with if its your first time or if it's been a while. I broke it apart into sections so skip to what you need or read all three. It's not too overly verbose :) The sections are - this product kit itself, the installation of the system, and optional components that will improve your system's efficiency, meaning you waste less water through the filtration process itself. 10 second version on how RO works: High pressure water is prefiltered and then pushed into an RO membrane - which is the reverse osmosis filter, with a pore size of approximately 0.0001 micron. That's nerd talk for super filter. After an additional filter, it can go right to the spigot for drinking, or you can run it through a mineralizer first - that's what gives it that nice, mountain spring water like taste. Notes on the RO Kit (Reverse Osmosis): Great price for the components, extra filters is great. The TANK - please DO NOT adjust the pressure by pushing in on the bike tire looking relief valve at the bottom of the tank. It's pre-set to the right pressure from their factory. It uses a bladder to help pressurize your water in the tank to deliver it more quickly to the spigot. --There is a connector piece with blue release tabs - the rest of the normal connectors are white. The blue one is your ONE WAY CHECK VALVE, and should be installed correctly already. I moved the position of mine when replumbing to be on the outlet side of the 5th filter. --The filter 'brackets' for mounting them are pretty flimsy, consider mounting or zip-tie into place. --- This Kit does create a lot of condensation on the bottom three filters, enough so that I had to make a drain trough. --- There IS an automatic shut-off valve pre-installed onto the mounting panel. It's the white valve with 4 lines coming out of it. This NEEDS your tank setup properly to work, as it uses the tank pressure to know when to shutoff water to the system. INSTALLATION: PERMEATE PUMP - this is the miracle worker, it uses a clever diaphragm system to increase the water output of the system and does so by using the discharge waste water pressure. This makes them at least a 1:1 efficiency or better. Without it, it produces 1:3 (water to waste ratio). I added a remineralization filter to mine then out to the spigot. I also added a 3-way splitter to a shut-off valve for my ice-maker line, which I installed on the outlet of the mineralizer right before the spigot. WITH A PERMEATE PUMP, ON 85psi INCOMING WATER PRESSURE, IT PRODUCES A LITER OF WATER IN 3 MINUTES. That's 125 gallons per day, a 25% improvement in water production with a decrease of 250 gallons of waste water, per day. Obviously you'd have to run it 24/7 for that, but you get the idea. CONSIDER ADDING: a permeate pump, a psi gauge on the incoming side of the water in your RO system, a remineralization filter (put it inline after your last filter), an additional water shut off valve, and a mounting panel to attach all the components to before putting the mounting panel in its under-sink position. Last thing - make sure to leave room under your sink for your water tank. EDIT: 4 months later, works great and we love it. The cats love the water in their fountain, and we enjoy not carrying 5-gallon jugs of water in from the car every weekend. :)

Impossible to locate replacement RO membranes.
I purchased this system in 2022. It feeds a faucet on my countertop and, refrigerator faucet and ice maker. It has served me well, but now I need a replacement RO membrane. The manufacturer is impossible to contact and among the many membranes on Amazon, not one will fit the filter housing on this unit. If you are looking for a long-lasting unit, I have to recommend you skip this one. Lloyd Update: I am going to modify my system to accept a larger RO membrane and housing. I have also discovered that the other filters in the system are not available on Amazon or from the manufacturer. Once the filters need replacing, you will have to replace the entire unit. Lloyd

Great System
I had a new expensive Max Water unit that split and flooded my kitchen. Amazon would not stand behind it. I ordered this unit and it was a pretty straight forward install. Not 1 leak from install. You do have to make sure the tubing is inserted all the way or the fittings will leak. I added a re-mineralization cartridge on mine and the taste of the water is incredible. My coffee taste better as well. I am very happy with the smaller size.

very robust yet economical system for your drinking water purification needs.
Ive purchased this unit multiple times now for each home I have purchased or worked on. When I test unfiltered tap water using a pen sized TDS ppm sensor (Total Dissolved Solids parts per million) City water is anywhere from 70-150 or more and typically tastes strongly like chlorine or fluoride or even sulpher and in the Vegas area it even came out brown. Perhaps that's why bottled water is so popular. But buying cases of water is labor intensive and carry to home, store until use then have to dispose of the plastic after. Using this filter setup the TDS reading taken in multiple areas never exceeded TEN (10 ppm) and has zero taste. After you start drinking clean clear water for about 2 weeks your sense of taste will start to come back. Then if you try to go back to regular tap water you will notice just how horrible the chlorine and sulfur tasting city water really is. After installing either 4 or 6 water filter systems of this exact model over the last 8 years I can confirm it doesn't leak, tastes great and new filters clear and clean your water down to 2-7 ppm. Even after several years and hundreds of gallons of water filtered (without chamging the filters at 6 month intervals as recommended) the water still tests about a max of 10-15 ppm and has no odors or bad taste. RO water like this is even cleared for use in CPAP machines that recommend distilled water use on the humidifiers. Several years of RO water in my Phillips Dream Station has had zero negative effects. The health benefits of clean water are clearly documented. This is a very robust yet economical system for your drinking water purification needs.

Small; Easy to Install; Took Time to Clear Filters and Tank
I selected this model of RO system to replace my ancient 4 stage RO system because of its very narrow size. I had about 13 inches of basement wall space to mount a RO system and very few will fit. The package was well packed and all components were present. Included was a small but complete installation manual. It was installed easily and quickly. The water tank is plastic one and not steel .. so its much lighter. Their tubing system is entirely based on 1/4 tubing with modern quick connect fittings. I had two small leaks on testing the system .. both due to me not inserting the tubing all the way into the fitting. I followed the procedure to initially run the system for 15 minutes with out the tank filling to flush the various filters. The outflow from the faucet did not show any real color in the purified water. However when I enabled the tank to fill and then emptied it, I observed a 5 or 10 second flow of dark water at the faucet. I emptied and refilled the tank and then emptied it 6 or more times and observed the same 5 or 10 second flow of dark water at the purified water faucet. Now, finally, the last several full tanks of RO water is clear and tastes fine. I attribute this to the final charcoal taste filter shedding some of its carbon when the tanks higher pressure water flow started through that filter. Just a guess on my part since the observed dark water lasted just 5 or 10 seconds. But, because of this I give the system just 3 stars. Lastly, this system uses a non-standard 7 inch main 3 filters (and not the 10 inch filters on all mainstream RO systems). The smaller size means that these 3 filters probably have on the order of just 1/2 of the filtering capacity of their 10 inch equivalents. So more frequent changing should probably be expected (depending on the quality of the incoming water). The supplier, FS-TFC, sells a filter package here for $49 that is billed as an annual filter set. I am somewhat concerned that finding 7 inch filters may be a problem at some point. Summary: This is a small RO water system that is inexpensive and a complete package that is easy to install. However my experience with an extended time to flush out the system lowers my overall opinion.

Fantastic Product!!!
I got tired of drinking bottled spring water which I doubted the source! So, I invested in one of these filters knowing that it has been filtered in my very own home. The water comes out fresh, crisp and clean! I did the 6-month filter change and let me tell you the number of substances that are filtered is amazing! In the first picture you can see the new filter compared to the old filter. I poured the water into the cup to get a better look at it. By the time the water goes through the remaining 4 stages and reaches the tap, the water is crystal clear and fresh. I highly recommend it if you are looking to improve your water quality and remove harmful contaminants.

GREAT VALUE & GREAT UNIT
I had a problem with one of the plumbing fittings not being compatible with our thread fittings initially. The company was very prompt & good with their response . I purchased the fitting that would work for us & they reimbursed me for all the costs I incurred . I would highly recommend this company to all. I needed the RO unit as we have very hard water & need to reduce the mineral content for our humidifier. Works like magic! VERY HAPPY
