An absolute steal, greatly entertaining and informative!
Absolute great value! I would have paid this much (£19) for only one series!As for the books I've only read the Conqueror series and I really, really enjoyed them. The Mongols are so often overlooked in western history and to be honest I did not know much about Genghis other than he was one of the greatest conquerors the world has seen and founded one of the greatest empires in world history. I think this served me really well as I was oblivious to any historical inaccuracies, which is why I'm so apprehensive at the thought of reading the Emperor series as I'm quite familiar with that period of Roman history (the first and second triumvirates, the rise of Ocatvian etc.) and think I might start dwelling at the inaccuracies.I'm not great at book reviews but all I can say is that this series made me look forward to my 40 minute commute on my way to/from work! Highly recommend!
