Pretty good
Gourmet olive oil is all about the polyphenols lately. Polyphenols are the compounds in olive oil that are really good for you. They are also pretty easy to taste - they give a harsh peppery taste (in a good way!) at the back of your throat. Polyphenols are also an indication of purity and quality - in case you haven't heard, there is a lot of fakery going on in the olive oil world. The majority of supermarket olive oils have been shown to be of low quality, rancid, or blended with other oils such as canola. But good EVOO can usually be distinguished by the tingling at the back of the throat - it may even make you cough when you swallow it. This is a good thing because the polyphenols which irritate your throat are the same chemicals which are good for your body. They also indicate quality, as polyphenols degrade over time, so the more kick you taste, the fresher the oil probably is. So most people would agree that the more polyphenols (and the more throat irritation) the better. So how does this one stack up? In my opinion I've had better, but it's still pretty good. There's definitely a kick at the back of the throat, but I'd feel better if it were a bit more pronounced. It is listed as Picual variety of olives. I've had other Picual oils that were stronger. Anyway, the nose is pleasantly fruity and it is overall a good quality olive oil. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again, but I may shop around a bit more before I do, just to see if I can find one with a bit more kick at a little lower price. Still though, I have no problem recommending this... it's good. You'll like it.

Very good organic Spanish EVOO at a reasonable price.
This is very good olive oil. I bought this particular oil for three reasons; 1. It is fresh oil from the new harvest. This is critical to me as I insist on fresh oil. The two year shelf life normally given to olive oil is overly generous. While it's true that properly stored oil will probably be usable during this period, the wonderful qualities of good olive oil certainly diminish with time. It's helpful to think of olive oil as what it is, the juice of fresh pressed olives. Freshness is key! Health benefits and flavor both suffer with the passing of time. This is the single most important factor to me when selecting an olive oil. 2. It is made from 100% picual olives. Picual is the king of olives in Spain and I happen to love oil made from this variety. Having said that, this particular oil is not the bold, vibrant, grassy, and assertive oil that I think of when I think of the best picual. This oil is thinner, paler, and lighter in flavor than the picual of my dreams. It does have excellent flavor and is a terrific all-around oil, but when I want a splash of oil that really grabs peoples attention, I will select a different bottle from my EVOO shelf. 3. It is organic. With this factored in to the equation, along with freshness and high quality, I consider this oil to be quite reasonably priced.

The Gold Lamborghini of EVOO
I just love this EVOO. Amazing taste and I loved the bottle when it came, this cute ribbon, silly but, I thought it was cute and a nice touch. Not that it mattered though in the overall thoughts about this oil but, I appreciate a companies extra touch. Both the bottle and ribbon can be reused easily, they're both that pretty and well made. The oil tastes clean and light, a very subtle olive flavor. There's a very pleasant after-taste too. It reminds me of eating a top quality salad that leaves you smiling as you leave and with a taste in the mouth that lets you know you just ate something truly delicious and leaves you in a good mood the rest of the afternoon. That's what this oil is like, and unlike any oil I've ever tried before. It must be in the way that it's made, cold processed, because this is the first time I've gotten a finer brand and grade of EVOO and that was made this way. When they say you get what you pay for, it's true in so many ways and it's true in oils too. Cheap oil equals cheap results but this oil quality, yes at a higher price but Ohh so worth it in the exceptional quality in taste.

I usie this oil for face and body lotion...
I never use store bought, processed lotions on my body or face. Only organic foods/oils I have in my kitchen. I use many different organic oils in my bath water and on my face and body daily. For my face, I use baking soda and water to clean it and then spray it with MSM and water. After that soaks in, I put five drops of oil on my hands, rub them together, and gently press the oil on my face. This process leaves my face feeling wonderful! I have not used any makeup or foundation in over 40 years and regularly get compliments on my complexion.

Love this fresh last fall's harvest olive oil
Very good olive oil. Very fresh. With olive oil the freshest is the healthiest by far. I look at olive oil & olive leaves as perhaps two of the very best things for one's overall health. That is also found in the Bible. Yes, Olive leaves also are amazing for ones health. Olive oil sitting in supermarkets may have been harvested 3-4 years ago. This olive oil is from the Fall 2016 Harvest. It arrived from Amazon in 2 days, but the USPS messed up the Sunday delivery. But they delivered it with no problem on Monday. I never fry or cook with this most recent harvest olive oil. I sprinkle it raw on pasta and salads. I keep an 'el cheapo' bottle of old olive oil around for the rare occasions I may fry something. The sprinkler on this particular bottle works wonderfully. It doesn't allow one to sprinkle way too much.

Yum!
This is a really delicious olive oil! It had a very distinctive flavor, and was very different from the typical extra virgin olive oils that you'd find at a grocery store. The oil was bursting with distinctive flavors - the primary flavor I picked up on was fruity - but it had a very tangy aftertaste. I've mainly used this olive oil for salads and dipping bread, and the tastes have been fantastic. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a huge fan olives and olive oil, so I've tried all sorts of varieties of olive and olive oils, and this is one that I would highly recommend. This oil is produced using organic production methods, which is an added benefit. I ordered a few bottles for gifts shortly before Christmas, and they arrived well before the expected arrival date.Overall, I'd highly recommend this olive oil. This is my new go-to high-quality olive oil.
