Just What I Needed
I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, and THIS style, not the ones that pop on and off at both ends, is exactly what I needed.They were also very easy to install. I have absolutely NO mechanical skills. Sometimes I struggle to install new batteries into a remote control. I was able to replace both of my vehicle's supports with no assistance and no trouble. Now instead of struggling, my back hatch just POPS right open and closes just as easily.

Replaced the stock liftgate supports on my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with these brand new ones and its like a brand new car, the old ones were so weak that I had to help the liftgate up and it creaked and squeaked the whole way up. With these new ones I pull up on the handle and the liftgate quietly opens all of the way. Definitely recommend replacing your old ones with these if you have any issues with yours!

Easy install. Perfect replacement for old parts. The lift gate now opens itself after the initial pull vs having to pull it up all the way to open.

Fits 2001 Pathfinder, works great, easy to install.
This fit perfectly in my 2001 Pathfinder. They came with the brackets that attach to the lift gate. It was a 10 minute job to switch them out, the only tools need were a 10mm socket for the bracket bolts and a flat head screwdriver to pop the retaining clips off the ball ends. Time will tell if they last but for now they work great.

Only for lifting the trunk, not the rear window opening!
This product works very well in my 1996 Pathfinder LE. The truck lift gate now opens quickly, almost too quick. It’s something to get used to. This only do not fit where only the rear window opens alone, whic is what I originally purchased them for. I ended up finding the window lift supports out of a 97 pathfinder at the local salvage yard for $10

Work great and like others said they are stronger than stock ones and make it slightly harder to close.

Easy install, just google the video. Took 5min and work great so far. These are the ones you want if you need the bracket with 2 screws at the top.
