Finding an all-inclusive men’s winter jacket that can be used in different weather conditions can be a challenge. Fortunately, the Columbia Men’s Whirlibird IV Interchange Jacket is a feature loaded multiple-use winter coat. This winter jacket utilizes the classic three-in-one design. It features a waterproof and breathable outer shell and an inner windbreaker layer that can be worn separately, or zipped together for extra protection against wet and cold weather. The outer shell is designed to keep the rain and wet snow out, with critically sealed seams. Meanwhile, the inner jacket has been made with our advanced Omni-HEAT™ technology that combines the thermal reflective lining, and our Thermarator™ insulation for maximum comfort and warmth. When the ever-evolving elements go from super cold, to super wet, and everything in between, this zip-in interchange system is just the versatile solution You've been looking for. The waterproof outer shell features underarm venting, an adjustable hood with drawcord adjustment, and a pocket for every need. Pockets include a ski pass pocket, a pocket for goggles, zippered chest and hand pockets, plus an interior security pocket. The interior jacket is designed with our reflective silver dot technology, engineered to maintain natural body heat, increasing comfort while keeping weight down. Rounding it all out, the adjustable cuffs and adjustable drawcord hem, lock it all in, keeping the snow, rain and cold out. This men’s winter jacket is offered in multiple colors and patterns, with a range of sizes. Available in extended sizing. Regular Fit. To ensure the perfect fit, follow these steps for measuring and refer to the size chart. To determine the neck size, measure at the base or thickest part of your neck. For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the wrist. Round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level. Imported. Outer shell and lining: 100% nylon. Inner jacket: 100% polyester. Zippered closure. Machine Wash. Review: Purchased this jacket a size larger than I usually take, and I'm glad. This jacket replaces another 3-1 jacket from Columbia that I had for 30 years (the zipper broke). What advancements in materials makes this toasty warm. Not to sure on the Velcro at the zipper (old one had snaps, easier to zip up and down), but that the only qualm. Don't hesitate to buy a Columbia jacket, quality, thoughtful design. Here's to hoping this one will last another 30 years. Review: We bought this jacket to replace my husband's worn-out 3-in-1 Whirlibird Interchange jacket. It's exactly as described. Includes Omni-Heat Reflective and Omni-Tech protection to promote warmth and protection from the worst of winter's elements for the wearer: wind, freezing rain, snow and frigid temperatures. One of the features we love most is the range of sizing options. This jacket is available in standard, big and tall sizes. Measure and refer to Columbia's size guides for more information. Must-have benefits include day-long comfort and breathability, underarm venting, external (zip) and internal pockets, detachable hood and adjustable cuffs. Jacket washes like a dream! Dirt rings around the neck, wrist and edges around the hip can be removed with Oxi gel or spray cleaner and laundered in the washing machine. Snap closures allow the wearer to detach and reattach the hood. Hang to dry in a well-ventilated area; never put into the dryer. Biggest criticism we have are the zippers' longevity- despite this jacket's excellent construction and fantastic features, the zippers are its nemesis. I'd love to see Columbia incorporate the use of YKK zippers into this product. Almost all of my Columbia jackets have had to have the zippers replaced after 4 years, although the jacket looks and functions like new.
