Not a necessary item
I teach 4th grade and was very disappointed when I received this item, I did not realize that the student portion was sold separatly. So I had to purchase that also, which is much more useful. The teachers guide does have some good discussion questions, but other than that it is pretty much worthless. If you are reading the book along with students the discussion questions are not really necessary b/c you can come up with them on your own.
