Upgrade your travel experience
Just had a trip before I bought this and then had a trip right after. The difference between my old carry on and this one was major! Even packing it felt better. Worth the expense.

This is a great suitcase
This is hardy/durable, which is very useful for those airline luggage guys who heave bags around as a sport. In luggage, you get what you pay for. Are there cheaper choices? Yes, but they break or wear out quickly.

Lots of pockets and smart organization.
There is a lot to love about this suitcase. First it comes well wrapped- even the zippers are protected by hard plastic slip-on covers. That makes it feel expensive. There is some stuffing in the pockets, and very heavy duty tags. Next- the pockets! There are a TON of places to put things in this suitcase and that is the real plus. It has a removable valuables heavy plastic pocket that snaps on inside, it has shoe covers, a snap in garment bag, more outside pockets then I can imagine using- and convenient ones that will hold a cell phone and ID for going through security. The suitcase is deep. My one complaint is that it is a bit narrower than the carry-on it is replacing. I measured and it is about two inches narrower, but that's a good deal of space. I am keeping it, though, because I think for shorter trips it will be worth the organization and efficiency. It is a bit longer (almost an inch) but the wheels spin and they should, when sideways, take the same amount of space (meaning it will fit overhead in even those terrible tiny overheads). I typically load in one of the first groups, so even if it needs to go sideways it will fit. I have not yet tested it fully packed and rolling, but I travel a week a month so will do so soon. Overall, it is a smart bag, well designed. It is significantly cheaper than the two other bags I was considering.

Quality materials, workmanship and Travelpro warranty = VALUE!!!
TRAVELPRO PLATINUM ELITE 20” EXPANDABLE BUSINESS PLUS CARRY-ON SPINNER SKU: 409188005I try to provide enough detail to provide you additional information to make your purchase decision. If you find this review helpful, please click on the HELPFUL button.I bought the Vintage Gray with the leather trim and it looks great. It arrived in a heavy cardboard box completely wrapped in plastic, so not a scratch on it. This is a smaller piece of luggage than a typical 22” piece, so it will fit almost every carrier’s carry-on limits. This luggage can pack a ton of things and is very organized. I have packed for a week in Key West, so that would include pants, shorts, swim gear, etc., and it all fit. It has outside zipped compartments for other things like your tablet, travel docs, etc.The bag materials are thick (read QUALITY, high denier ballistic nylon that will last forever), the sewing is on-point with no stitching problems, and of course, the magnetic wheels spin effortlessly and track straight when rolling (huge benefit over other luggage without wheel tracking). The Vintage Gray is well, vintage - I think the style is sharp, classy and something that will be easier to find than the standard black or navy blue of other luggage. The handle is substantial and I found it to be sturdy and comfortable, with a contoured handle. The zippers are Supra and are very strong and work well. And of course, it comes with a USB port with a dedicated power pack compartment (you have to buy the battery separately), laptop compartment and 4 pockets and a keyring in the zippered compartment. You can see in the pictures:• The spinner opens to a large, 20” cavernous compartment with a divider with pockets, and a TSA approved toiletry bag that snaps in place for easy removal if needed. The plastic on the toiletry bag is thicker than cheaper items and again, has a very strong zipper.• The main compartment is separated by a double pocket organizer that helps keep packed items secure and in place.• The front compartment is organized well with pockets, key holder, RFID protection, and a laptop and tablet pocket. The pocket for your laptop is thick and soft, so it protects your laptop even if your luggage gets bumped or dropped. Every detail screams of quality in this luggage.• There is a compartment for a battery pack that is pre-wired with a USB end that activates the outside USB port charger. This is very convenient to use and a life-saver if you cannot get to an AC outlet and need power for your phone or tablet.• And the smaller details, that increase comfort, and protection include the bottom hand grip for picking up your luggage to put in your car or airplane bin, and luggage protectors so the nylon fabric doesn’t contact the floor/ground if you have it laid down on its back.I pack with cubes and roll my clothes so I can easily get a week’s travel just taking this one bag carry-on. It fits in the bins with no trouble and the Magnatec wheels are awesome. No more fighting my wife’s cheaper spinner that seems to want to wander off, while mine just keeps moving true to a straight line. The handle is very sturdy, a problem I find with other bags. The handle is contoured and it does make pulling this very pleasant. The center separator with pockets is great to aid organization. I use a Medium and Small packing cube on the bottom, then clip the separator together, and pack another medium and small packing cube. I don’t miss the extra 2” I had with my previous bag and like the smaller/lighter profile. The smaller size makes handling it a breeze and it will pass any carriers Carry-On restrictions.I highly recommend this bag and getting it on sale is a no-brainer. Travelpro quality, durability and warranty makes this an easy decision. You could go cheaper, and you could go more expensive, so their pricing is in the middle, but their quality is unsurpassed!

I paid a lot of money for what I thought was two pieces of quality luggage
Do not buy Travelpro platinum, elite luggage, in the red color. I am not happy with the two pieces of Travelpro Platinum Elite luggage that I purchased. I paid $850 for the two pieces and I feel that that is not right because of what I paid. I ordered them in red and I regretted it as soon as I arrived to my destination and saw that the luggage looked dirty. And when I tried to wipe it off, these dirty looking spots would not come off. I’m guessing that the black ones would not have stained as easily or that I wouldn't be able to see these dirty looking spots. I thought this piece of luggage looked a little banged up to be new. I got back home after my trip and I was going to Return both pieces. But as I started to read about the return process I read something that mentioned that if the luggage did not look the same as it did when I got it that I might not receive the total amount of money that I paid for them. As I read on, it got even worse. It mentioned that they might decide not to give me anything for my returned luggage. I was hot and decided not to take a chance on returning something that I didn’t even know if I would get any money back on or even a partial refund. I like the luggage it functions well. I just wish I had bought it in black. I guess I am a little OCD because every time I look at those spots on that luggage it drives me nuts and I just get mad all over again.I will never order luggage from Travelpro again because of what I read about the return policy and the spots on my luggage. My luggage should not have had spots or stains on lambafter one trip if this luggage really had a fabric protector on it like you all said it did. I should have been able to send it back and not be concerned that I would not get any of my money back at all or just a partial refund. That is terrible. I would at least like to return both pieces of luggage and get them in black. I also found the luggage lock to be confusing. I thought I was getting a combination lock that attached to the zippers, but that part was really confusing to me. But that part might’ve just been me.I would really like to return my red luggage and get it this luggage in black. That would solve all my issues.
