I just got into fishing (trout & bass) with my son and I needed to build up a my tackle from scratch. I did tons of research and found this kit online. Then I went to my local boating supply store to buy a similar list of items. I like supporting local stores if I can.In this case, big mistake. I had collected about $45 worth of things in my basket and felt like I only had half of what this kit has. I put it all back, went home, and ordered this kit.First day out fishing: my boy picks out the big minnow. I tie it on. He casts a few times. Fish on! A beautiful rainbow. Next time we're trying out the bass kit.

Just started fishing for Trout and bought this kit with the Multispecies combo they make. I'm generally new to fishing and had the best luck using the hooks and sinkers with some powerbait. Look up a bottom rig, I read up on it and that’s how a lot of people catch trout in lakes and reservoirs. Now I am advancing into the trout lures section in the kit. I am focusing on the spinners at first because these are pretty straight forward, but I am excited to start working on my skills with the crankbaits. So far I have caught 5 rainbow trout on the powerbait rigs and 2 small brook trout on the spinners. Fishing mainly reservoirs and rivers but saving up for a boat so I can start trolling.

Tried these didn’t catch any fish.Stick to salmon eggs or night crawlers.

Has plenty of stuff to get you trout fishing. Not everything you will ever need, but will get you started

Great trout kit using it for streams and some stocked ponds in Washington. Spinners are solid quality like what I usually use. Bought the kit for the lures, never fished crankbaits on trout before and want to get started.
