The First Forty-Nine Stories

A good read for those who like short stories and for Hemingway fans. There is a lot of variety in the stories and you are bound to savor at least some of it. I enjoyed reading about half of the stories in the entire volume. If you still doubt that simple language can be as effective if not sometimes more effective than language filled with complicated jargon, you must read something like The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber -- it is included in this volume.
