American Home K2R 33001 Spot Remover, 10-Ounce

This is my go-to product for spot cleaning on fabrics. It seems to be the most effective thing on the market that I have used to remove stubborn stains on clothing, our couch fabric or the cloth upholstery in our car.I cannot find it in brick and mortar hardware or household supply stores so I order it here. One can lasts a long time.

I think it is Swiss, and it works like a Swiss army knife. Gotta learn to let it dry, and you can get almost any stain out. Good for travel.

This works really well for a hard to remove stain on your carpet. Once I tracked in some oil and I used this and it removed the stain. I have some on hand for real stubborn stains. I don't really use it for everyday easy to remove stains.

We bought expensive bar stools from a designer furniture store and was shocked at how the material attracted dirt that couldn't just wipe off with a damp cloth. They sent a tech and he used this stuff and it worked like a charm. He gave us a couple of cans and after using it up, we ordered a can from Amazon. You absolutely need to do a test spot in a place that isn't visible just to see if it will work on the stained material. This is a harsh chemical that dries quickly into a powdery film but the fumes are pretty noxious so ventilation is recommended. I used it on our sofa cushions and it took out the stains like a pro. Use a dedicated clean scrub brush and not the bristled lid for best results. They make a 10 oz can that you can find at specialty hardware stores for a little less than the 5 oz can sold here if you want to save some money and you are lucky to be close enough which would bring the value for the money MUCH higher than 3 stars.

I was gonna recover my dining room chairs and this cleaned spots I could never get out. I didn’t have to recover my furniture. I used it to clean my pub table chairs and numerous other things. I couldn’t believe how many things it cleaned. I saw this on a tv show where they cleaned spray tan off of a white sectional. It seemed impossible so we bought it and tried it. I believe it now. If you have upholstery on furniture, purses or even shoes give it a try. Follow the directions. It’s simple.

I have an somewhat pricey Under Armour jacket (although a few years old) that had a large stain on the front for quite a while. I am not sure what it was from, but it was enough to make the jacket unwearable except for yard work. I think it may have been oil based. I tried everything from washing it dozens of times, to pre-scrubbing and pre-treating it, but nothing worked. I even brought it to the dry cleaner and pointed out the stain to them, but they were unable to remove it. I tried the K2r as a last resort before throwing the jacket out. I sprayed it on and let it dry as the instructions said. When it dried white and I brushed away the powder, the stain was basically highlighted in white. It wasn't part of the instructions, but I then washed it. It came out of the wash with 100% of the stain gone.The can says do not use on waterproof material, and I would classify the shell as "somewhat waterproof". That materials tag lists the makeup as 85% nylon and 15% elastine. Whether or not the material was negatively effected I can't tell, however, the large greasy spot that had been there for a couple years, and almost caused me to throw away a jacket that was in otherwise good condition, is gone!I am a heavy user of Amazon.com, but this is the first review I have written because I am highly impressed. This stuff works!

K2R kind of works, I bought it to clean my fabric shoes that got ruined in my wedding with the rain, it sort of removed the stains. I also tried it on a few spots on an old couch--it did clean the food stains, but the mysterious, unknown stains are still there. Also, it's very dusty and smelly, very hard to get off of the fabric after you spray it on.

I use this product for getting out oil-based food stains such as vinaigrette with olive oil, and other sauces/condiments.
