They are not… these are painted lady butterflies. A bit smaller than monarch, but very beautiful

How would I postpone the butterflies from hatching? Shipping was faster than expected and I want to give them as a present in 10 days.

I don’t think you can slow down nature. However, the caterpillars will continue to grow for 7-10 days before they each turn into a chrysalis. Then another 7-10 days before they emerge as butterflies. You have some time still.
