Yardley London English Lavender Brilliantine, Purple , 80 g (Pack of 1)

This is a nice little gem that helps me control my frizzy hair on humid days and give an extra strength to my going out hairstyles. It helps me when I straighten my hair and want to put the little flyaways tucked away. The scent is a bit old fashioned in the pot but you don’t notice it once it’s on the hair. It looks great in the vanity too.

Great control, fantastic smell (of lavender). I find it holds my hair gently and better than any of the mystery goo marketed by big names, promising wet look, dry look, firm hold, gentle hold and pull the babes. One does not, ever, "pull babes". This product enables me to create a frisson of desire between myself and sparkling, intelligent women of all ages over 25. Rather good.

Arguably the most famous pomade to come from England over the years. I bought it for my Grandma who is 97 years old! She has been using it for over 65 years now and swears never to try other brands. Though I like smelling strong perfumes on women, I find having any strong scented stuff on my own hair quite distracting. But some actually like strong essential oils on their person, this hair pomade is for such a person who enjoys the strong natural perfumes in it.

This brilliantine smells lovely and is not overpowering floral. Only use a tiny amount on your hair, you can always add a bit more if needed. Add too much in one go and your hair will look greasy. Once you have worked out the right amount for your hair, it will hold your style all day.

This has always been, for years, a great product. Even my father loved it and used it even when he was bald, every day. I love the smell and the feel of it on my head.

I'm quite a young man, however I find these older products to be 100x better than the newer ones for achieving that glossy slick look! creates a very high shine when mixed with a light pomade for hold. At first I wasn't too sure about the scent but it really does grow on you! not to mention my girlfriend loves it. Overall great traditional product that washes out easily and remains a timeless classic!
