Is this the real one? Or fake product!?

Hi, Eltamd confirm that Amazon is currently its only official stockist in the UK. This applies to items which state 'dispatched from and sold by Amazon', not to other online retailers who use the Amazon platform. This distinction isn't obvious from the way Amazon presents products on its website. Other online retailers may sell genuine Eltamd products but there is no authenticity guarantee and no real way a customer can check either. One thing to consider; there is sometimes a significant price difference between retailers. For example, at the time of writing this answer, an unauthorised retailer is selling a different Eltamd product for around £30 where as the official Amazon option for the same product is £48. Given UK customs duties, international postage costs, business overheads etc, it's difficult to see how a business could sell a genuine product legitimately and make a profit (the Eltamd website currently sells this product at £33 before taxes and international p&p). I recently purchased an Eltamd moisturiser from an unofficial online retailer on Amazon. The product I received seemed to be genuine at first but its performance over three months is neither here nor there to be honest. I wouldn't buy it again as I'm not convinced it's genuine, which is very important as it's a suncream I'd rely on in summer. It also did little for my skin otherwise. Another person I know who has bought an Eltamd moisturiser from unofficial source has said said her skin had a bad reaction to it. Of course, the risk is up to you. At the moment, the only way to be sure this product is genuine is to buy 'dispatched from and sold by Amazon', from another authorised stockist (see Eltamd website) or direct from the company. This produce is described as 'clear tinted' so I'm wondering if it's clear or tinted? I'm looking for something I can wear under makeup.

Hi - Does this product leave a white or purple-ish residue on the skin/is it suitable for dark skin tones? Thanks.

I’m Indian to give you an idea of my skin tone- I’d say I’m mid toned, not dark but not fair. This doesn’t leave an obvious white cast at all. The tinted and clear are both excellent and might leave the skin slightly fairer looking but not like sunscreen white cast if that makes sense. The tinted one tint colour is light though, as in it’s like a peachy colour for white skins. But it’s not an issue on my skin. Hope that helps

Does this leave your face looking like you dunked it in chip fat?.. (like Boots Soltan?..) And does it sting your eyes when you sweat?..thanks :)

It doesn’t leave a Matt finish (there is a sheen) but I use it under foundation and don’t feel that it makes me more greasy (I have oily skin), or dehydrated like some mattifying sunscreens do. You could also powder over the top if you prefer a Matt finish. Doesn’t sting the eyes at all and I apply all over the eyelids! It’s my go to sunscreen at the moment- I recommend
