Q: Will these running pliers work on cuts 1/2 inch or less in width?

Sorry don’t understand the question. These are running pliers. So after scoring the glass they are used to break that score. They are for thick glass so not the 3 mm thick art glass used by fused & stained glass workers

Q: How long are they? Is there a similar or better running pliers that you carry that is 6 inches long and lightweight? I have small hands. Thank you!

These running pliers are about 8-9" long. They are made from cast aluminium, so they are lightweight and strong. I got these to break glass 6-9 mm thick. If they were shorter they wouldn't have the power to do the job. If you are using thinner glass, there are plastic runners out there. My hands are not large and they work great for me. Hope this helps.

Q: Are the plastic jaws replaceable for when they wear out?

These are my most versatile running pliers and are used constantly in my Studio by myself and students. There is no sign of wear after almost 10 years of constant use - I can’t imagine needing to replace the jaws unless this tool is grossly misused.
