What color is the tablet? Thanks.

I just received mine and saw that the color was spotted tan/beige. I was concerned about one reviewer mentioning that his is blue from the drug store so I called Youthberry asking what color this should be. They said they now removed food coloring from the tablets and is tan beige while the older version was blue. Hope this helps!

What animal is the hyaluronic acid sourced from?

Most of what is found in supplements is synthesized and in the form of Sodium Hyaluronate. It is expensive to remove contiminants in naturally sourced HA. The body sythesizes about 5 grams of it day (about 1/3rd of the total in a human of 150-75#) on its own. Supplements add around 1/10th gram (100mg)

Why is this still on the market if it has been tested and contains more than the allowable amount of lead?

We understand your concern but know this product is 100% safe for consumption. It is thoroughly tested and is significantly below the allowable limit for naturally-occurring lead sent forth by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). The State of California requires a Prop 65 warning on any product that may be sold in California that would result in a consumer ingesting more than 0.5 mcg of lead per day. This is an exceedingly low level that is, by law, 1000 times lower than the highest level of lead known by California NOT to cause health issues. By comparison, the American diet is reported to provide about 15–25 mcg of lead per day or more. Know that lead is a naturally-occurring element that is ubiquitous in the environment and present in all soils, plants and water sources. Lead is commonly found in whole botanical (herb) and mineral ingredients, and is naturally-occurring in a wide variety of dietary supplement products. Has anyone noticed a difference since taking it?
