The directions are concise and the supply lists are very helpful. The examples are beautifully illustrated and explained. I have purchased and read many books on multi media. This one is by far the best and will be my go-to reference. I purchased the kindle version but will be buying the paperback so I can carry it with me.

This book was just the creative boost I needed! It's full of techniques, ideas, prompts, & a list of mediums to try. You really get a sense of Dina Wakley's style as an artist as well as a taste of her personality. So much color & fun & INSPIRATION! Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite art books! It is filled with great techniques, how-to's, helpful instruction, and diverse creativity. I appreciate the range and diversity of the use of color and the various mixed media techniques. I love her "Media and Technique Tool Kit" page to stimulate creative ideas for designing new creations. She takes step-by-step quality photos of the creation process and provides an abundance of examples and ideas. I also bought Dina Wakley's Art Journal Freedom book and these two books have taken my art to an entirely new level and dimension. Highly recommend if you want to learn how to play in creativity or take your existing play to a new level.

This is one of the best art reference books out there! If you love edgy art Dinas stencils, paints. rubber stamps and creating with paint this is for you! I also I have Art Journal Freedomand love them both equally! I recently moved from Florida to Texas and I was so afraid I might missplace these that I made sure I had them in my car NOT the moving truck! That's how much I love these books and homeport and they are to me in my art ! Dina is simply THE BEST artist, instructor and author.

Dina's art is beautiful and the photographs were clear and colorful. Dina detailed (in words and photos) many different techniques she uses to create her journal pages. She also included a helpful chapter about how to get started with art journaling and provided numerous prompts that can be used as jumping off points for creating journal pages. This was one of the best and most inspiring books/tutorials about art journaling that I have seen.

I like her style of teaching. She is a colorful fun artist. Good book to create and play with many fun ideas she shows.

Get inspired! I loved this book. I thought the author's approach was very encouraging, and clear. She explains the process to art journaling, and gives you the freedom to express yourself while teaching you some of the basics. I enjoyed the book and have put much of what I learned into practice. I recommend anyone who is interested in learning about this addictive, artistic craft to read it.

The techniques are clearly written and easy to follow. There's a good number of different techniques to try with sound practical advice. I particularly liked the lists of suggestions of what to write and instructions for making your own book from watercolour paper.The example art becomes a bit repetitive and are occasionally over-the-top messy for my taste, but overall it's a good intro to journalling.

I loved the inspiration this book has provided me with. Now in lockdown I think I need to go try create
