Best oil that I've found
I've used various oils but I've found this one to be one of the best, especially on the valves of a new instrument. Light and long-lasting, this oil does not leave redisue.

Lasts longer than any other oil.
I have used many different oils and most work well for a short time but need to be reapplied every few days - sometimes every couple of days as the valves get slower and more sluggish. Ultra Pure works for much longer - as much two weeks or even more sometimes. So you use less of it. It also does not smell like some oils.

Do not use, gums up the valves
After 45 year of not having blown a note through my trumpet I decided to wash it our, polish it and start to practice again. As a young player we were always told not to your valve oil. Clean the valves with a clean cloth and warm water once a week, clean the valve case the same way, apply a little bit of spittle to the valve before re fitting it to it's correct case. Well, I did all the cleaning with warm soapy water, got the gentle metal polish on it and was well pleased. I decided to give this vale oil a go, I thought after all this time they would have solved the issue of gumming up. It was fine the first day, then the second day I was out so didn't have time to get to do any practice, today, well the valves were stuck, in the end I had to remove all three of the valves, clean out the valve casings with very warm water, clean each valve in very warm water to get rid of the oil. I then put them back with the old fashioned spittle and then happy days, the valves sprung bag immediately without any drag. So My advise to you is DO NOT use this so called valve oil (or any other) as next time you go to your rehearsals you will spend the first twenty minutes cleaning the valves out. Band leader will not be impressed.
