Very Well Built!
Sized well! 5'11" 210lbs, the XL fits like a jacket, just as expected with plenty of room at the sleeve ends and for layers underneath. The elastic straps are well placed and work well to keep the garment in a comfortable position. The buckles allow quick on/off and is much appreciated. The star of the show are the arms! The rear of the arms cover the entire shoulder blade, allowing ample movement before the elastic straps engage. It feels like a full garment until you feel the straps gently holding the shoulder blade flaps together. Aside from a couple of blemishes in the leather, which is overall great quality for the task, I love this protective gear.

They run small valuing build are excellent
These do run small I ordered an extra large my build is 5‘8“ 175 pounds most of my weight is in my belly with a 36” waist the large fits me very well would not dare go to a large I wear a medium to a large in a coat kinda in between I am still able to wear a heavy sweatshirt underneath it when it’s cold outside. as far as the two buckles go on the back, they seem to be fairly adequate. I leave the top one buckled and slide it on over my head takes a little work, but not a big deal would be very hard to buckle while you’re wearing it. I very seldom buckle, the lower one, as I don’t need to buckle it, it stays in front of me very well without it being buckled so far. It did find that it came a little damp, which I expected with leather no overwhelming odor as others have stated it did leave a lot of fuzz on my clothes after I first used it, but blowing off with compressed air and the vacuum to it seem to fix that problem. For the price it is an extremely good value, and I would definitely recommend and buy again I love the open back as it will help with air circulation on hotter days.

High Quality, wish it came in XXL
The quality looks excellent ( I prefer this desigh with the leather vs trusting cotton with flame retardent). I wish it came in a double XL as I am 5'10", 235 lbs with a 40" waist. The sides just do meet at the half way mark but I'd prefer they go 3/4 around my waist. I did leave the top strap attached and slid it over my head. I'm not sure how anyone can latch something that goes across their shoulder blades with a rear snap, I would need to be double jointed. A side or front latch system seems more practicle. I really like the neck coverage for welding, it's easy to get burns or UV exposure without such a design. I didn't notice any smell and it came wrapped in plastic. While sleeves would be considered short if we were fitting as a dress shirt (by an inch or two) the fact that you would use welding gloves should address that. Quality look excellent, I'd recommend this but like others have said it runs on the smaller side. If they offered a XXL I would of returned the "XL" I bought for that one. As it stands I'll keep this one and update the review as it sees actual use.

Heavy Great product!! And fits!
Have not used yet, But good fit and well made for the price. 5'11". .At bellybutton 44in. I orderd (XLg). South Ga. It will work well in the winter, hot in summer. Very very happy that I will not find moth holes in my clothes going forwards!!! I have a Chinese shoe patcher $115.00 that I will use to add some pen pockets and other adjustments, but overall GOOD AS IS! It is smelly but no rusty buttons or moisture. You can use saddle soap to wash. Most welders wont though. Going to be great when grinding too!!!!!

Great Value
I ordered this sleeved apron and I love it. Mine had no smell. The biggest size I saw to order was XL, which I did. It does run slightly small and I would have gone XXL if they had a choice for that. The quality is good and I just use the neck collar velcro and don't bother with the other straps. (Bull Neck folks may have an issue. Just add a Velcro extension, simple) The length is great and goes about 3" below my knees. I am 5' 8.5". Center chest pocket is handy too. I am running a Flux Core welder so it protects well with all the Spatter. I would highly recommend. The same item is close to $100 in the stores. No regrets........

Bad fit
Kind of disappointed with this. It is constructed well from decent leather the design has flaws, specifically, when you wear it you lose a lot of movement in your arms. This is because once it is on, the shoulders are really restrictive making it difficult to manipulate things in front of you.

Great protection from welding burns. Excellent value!
Great protection from this apron. Don’t weld without it. I had to lay on my back and weld under my car. No burns, no problems. Very safe!

I bought this apron for welding and sanding rust. I’m 5’8” with a medium build, and it fits me well with a bit of room to spare. I can see it feeling snug on someone larger. The quality is solid, and it provides good protection against flying bits of hot metal. I first used it while metal sanding with a grinder, and despite the cold weather, I wore just a t-shirt underneath and stayed warm. One thing to note—when it’s brand new, there are some flaky bits of leather on the inside that will get all over your clothes. Personally, I don’t mind since I expect to get dirty and wash up after working anyway. But if that’s a dealbreaker for you, wear older clothes or consider a different apron. Otherwise, I’d recommend it.

Been using this for weekend work, doing MIG while seated or standing at a table. No more holes and hot BB's through my pant legs. Would definitely recommend. Only drawback is the leather was still damp and stinky when it arrived, so I had to let it air out for a week or two but all is good now. The elastic straps and velcro are holding up so far, but if you wanted to used this all day every day, I suspect you'd wear out the elastic or the plastic clips and have to come up with a plan B. I also like the high collar and good coverage for the back of the neck. The sleves are snug if you wear thicker sweaters or jackets underneath, but a hoodie and a thin cotton FR jacket is fine. Plus there's no lining in the sleeves, so the leather has a lot of friction when sliding your arms in and out if you're wearing a rough jacket and it can be a pain to put on and off. Size-wise, I'm 6'1 and 230 lbs, the XL is an OK fit but it probably would be a little snug for someone who's heavier or more round in shape.

En lo que a mi respecta, cumplio al cien por ciento con mis espectativas. Cubre perfectamente toda el area de riesgo de salpicaduras al soldar o lijar. Es un poco pesada pero creo que es aceptable debido a su tamaño y forma.

It does smell like solvent out of the package as some other reviews complained but most of it seems to air out after a few days hanging in the garage. And maybe the fumes will kill some flies anyway. I believe its made out of pig suede and is of a decent thickness so it should last a while. I take a size large in jackets but following the other reviews, I ordered an XL. It fits okay but snug around the shoulders which might restrict movement if you have to weld in contorted positions. I found the arms to be too short exposing my arms a few inches above the wrist. But if you have gauntlet welding gloves than it shouldn't be a problem. I think it's a great buy for 50 bucks.
