64 Spools 1000M (1100Y) Polyester Embroidery Machine Thread Kit for Professional Embroiderer and Beginner Each Spool with Locking Base Resists Thread Tangling

I love the product. The thread is sturdy, doesn't break or tangle in the machine. It's very pretty and comes in a very nice verity of colors BUT there is no way to order just one single spool of any one color. I have been working on a logo for my sons work shirts so I have nearly used up all the red and I need to order another spool but they don't sell single spools in the 1000m or the 500m. I can't use the huge 5000m spools on my home machine. Those huge 5000m spools are intended for multi needle machines not the widely owned and used single needle home machines. I want to love this produce but I am not about to buy a whole set of 34, 63 or 80 spools of thread just to replace one or two colors I have use up. I have to modify my review. Although I have years and years of experience with sewing, I am slightly new to home embroidery machines I am just learning how to handle things like larger spool sizes having never had a need for purchasing thread on large spools except for my surger which was designed for large spools that I never used on my regular sewing machine. So I was unfamiliar with thread stands. I feel a bit dumb that I didn't think that with the larger 5000m spools you just get a thread stand and run your thread off that into the machine. So, although it is not always possible to get the smaller spools to replace what you use up, it is possible to buy replacements in the large spool size and use a thread stand. Brothread was kind enough to contact me and help me resolve my issue. Between the good quality and look of their produce as well as the great customer service I feel I have to change my rating for Brothread and their product. My apologize to Brothread for the earlier 3 star rating. You are really a 5 star company. Please don't change!

I use a Janome Memory Craft 9900 for embroidery. I watched a youtube video where a woman purchased a bunch of well-known embroidery thread brands and compared them on many different factors. I was surprised to see Brothread rated the highest in every category, as I'm more familiar with Madeira, Gutermann, etc. I'm so happy I went with this brand and this set. I've had no breakage. The embroidery comes out looking amazing. In the attached photo (2) you can see I used white bobbin thread (from this set) with a blue from this set, and you can slightly see the white bobbin thread come through. My best embroidery has come from using the same color bobbin thread, so I'd recommend that instead. I only had two issues while using this thread and neither was due to the thread itself. One was I naively used the larger disk (pic 3) to hold these spools on my machine. I had previously only used this machine to sew with large spools of Gutermann thread (the spool for which is not tapered) and I used only the large disk to secure the spool. Since these Brothread spools taper, I had issues with the thread bunching around the larger disk. I switched to the smaller disk and everything worked fine. Secondly, the sticker on top of one of the spools was off-centered and was causing snagging while the thread was coming off of the spool. It took me a while to identify this small problem, but if you have issues with this thread, check that the sticker on the top of the spool is completely adhered to the spool and no sticky surface is exposed. Since identifying those two issues, this thread has been fantastic to work with. I'm a beginner to machine embroidery and originally was going to purchase just a few colors. I'm so glad I went with this large set. I've been able to embroider exactly the image I want, because the colors are so varied. It's been a fun learning experience being able to play with so many color options. Also, friends and family have been able to request t-shirts and I've been able to fulfill every request due to having the right colors on hand. I love that the set comes with two spools of white and two of black. There are primary colors, pastels, ones that pass for gold and silver, even an off-white/ivory. You can confidently approach so many patterns knowing you'll get the right coloring. Also new to me is how long these spools last. I had several family members request the same logo in a 4x5 inch size that required quite a lot of the same color thread. I've made 5 of that logo, used the same color thread for the bobbin thread, and you can't even tell I've made a dent in the amount of thread on the spool. I'm impressed all around and find this set to be well worth the money.

So far pretty great. The quality is along the lines of floriani. The winding is the only fault I would give as it doesn't flow off the spool greatly. No binding though. Thickness is on par with other embroidery thread.

I’m really impressed with this thread. I’ve pretty much only used Isacord, and a few Brother ones (which I don’t really like). So I went out on a ledge and tried this Brothread brand. I was in the middle of stitching when the package came so I just opened one to add to the project and try it out. Very pleased with the quality. Thread broke once but it was the fault of the operator. (wink wink) Overall I’d say it’s a good purchase. I may come back and update if the sentiment changes after I use it more.

Nice threads but these suck for doing caps. Garments work just fine, and well priced threads. But for caps this is not the thread for that unless you are doing foam caps. Overall I give them a 4, since they will cover most of your needs for the price, if you need to stock up for clothing or need a fast Amazon delivery.

Good base selection of variety of colors. Purchased to use with my APQS quilting machine which seems to like this brand and sews nicely with it. Have since purchased a few of larger size in same brand for colors that get used frequently. Also bought a rotating tower spool rack for them as box wasn't simple storage for me. Recommend.

The colors were what I expected. Price is right.
