I lent my dad the Hoover SpinScrub 50 and he told me that the brushes wouldn't turn. He thought the belt or something was broken. When I tried it out, I confirmed that while the brushes would spin weakly, they would totally stop if I barely touched them. I couldn't find any good YT vids on it, so I went ahead and took it apart with blind faith I could put it back together. I found out that the brushes are driven by a turbine powered by the suction of the unit. I took apart the gearbox (white section that also contains the sprayer bar) and discovered the lower bearing had seized. I removed the bearing, took measurements, and matched it up to these. While waiting for them to arrive, I applied a liberal amount of wheel grease to the inner bore of the bearing and reassembled. The brushes turned with a lot more force. I think if you needed to get it running again, just greasing it up will get you by. However, it is a metal on metal contact surface and I wouldn't use it long term because it will wear out. Got these bearings in about a week. Looks exactly like the original, right down to the blue bearing shields. Popped them in, greased the gears and a little on the bearing to repel water, and reassembled. Fantastic. With the intake to the waste tank covered, I can't stop the brushes with my hand. Note: The suction is split between the turbine and the waste tank. If the waste tank intake isn't covered (black pipe, upper right corner of the photo) the brushes will only spin weakly. I now have 9 extra bearings and I'll probably misplace them by the time I need to replace this bearing again (I've had the cleaner for 7 years). But $10 beats buying a whole new cleaner.

Bought these to replace a siezed bearing in my vacuum cleaner powerhead of all things, the beater bar is mounted to the frame through a couple of these bearings. They fit perfectly and the unit runs well now.

I have purchased several bearings from PGN and have been satisfied with them all, including these. Compared to others I’ve tried, these run quietly and last a long time. They are installed in my bandsaw, lathe, and grinder with no issues. Other brands were noisy and did not last long. PGN makes great bearing at very reasonable prices.
