Works for Batterys that have CCA, but if done on smaller type 12v like UPS battery backup, they are rated by AH. and this unit there is no AH read out. so you wont be able to get %, only CCA, if u know the FORMULA, then maybe u can figure it out. you still can test the battery, just use a very low CCA, like 5.cca and u can get a reading, but to tell if the battery is dieing, you will need to figure out a FORMULA. so i would req. u go buy one of the other BAT. Analyzer models. that does give u the % for CCA, AH, MAH, and ect... (they only cost just a few Dollars more)

I like the fact that’s it’s easy to use, it’s fool proof. I also like how accurate it is with non agm battery. With AGM it’s a little off. It reads my optima yellow top as 40% life when it’s brand new, the CC and the Volt is also a bit off, but beside that it’s great tool for the price

Over the years I avoided buying a load tester. It is usually pretty obvious when you need a battery. I have already used this on 4 batteries. It confirms what you probably already suspect, but it is nice to eliminate all doubt about a battery you suspect is getting weak. If it keeps you from being stranded just one time, it has paid for itself. This tool is simple to use.

I bought this after the battery died in my wife's car. I will make it a habit to check the battery CCA number on both of my vehicles every time I do an oil change. That way, I'm likely to know if the battery is starting to fail well in advance, and ideally within the warranty period too. That alone will WAY MORE than pay for the cost of this tool.

The user interface on this unit is not quite as intuitive as I would have expected. But, it does seem to work well.

This tester was easy to use and understand. The cost was very reasonable and value was well worth expense. Great little product.

This battery tester works very well. It is compact and easy to use. The buttons are not too easy to figure out with out reading the enclosed instructions, but it is simple enough to use once you learn the correct way to set up the test for the size of battery. Great little tester.

This is perfect for my garage. It does exactly what is supposed to do, i.e. check battery performance.
