Leica Fotografie International Print Magazine

I started taking photographs "seriously" in West Germany 1966-67. I evolved from an Agfa to a Leica M3 with; 50, 90 and 135mm lenses. I learned a lot, had fun processing my film and printing my own pictures. I regret not having those photos today. However, Leica started my intense fascination with photography. I still enjoy photography immensely. I also enjoy reading about others who obsess about the shutter snap as well. LFI is a brilliant magazine for slipping down the rabbit hole. Try it...

I have been subscribing to Leica Fotografie since it started in the late 1970's. It got me hooked to Leica R body cameras and may Leica R- mount lenses from 24 to 135 plus the 35 - 70 f/4 zoom.So as one can derive, I am following this magazine closely, even though that in the last few years the article and photo selections are rather poor. But I attribute this to younger and inexperienced decision makers in the administration of this magazine who either never read or seen the beautiful older issues or they do not care to continue with the wonderful tradition. Enough already with the Cuba and India poor photos. Believe me my colleagues tell me that India has changed very mcuh from that level and no one has been here recently to capture the progress. Progress is good dear LFI bosses, Progress.Thank you.

LFI is a great magazine to keep up to date on photography, exhibits around the world, and especially Leica products. However, when you order from Amazon, you will not receive a subscriber number and therefore cannot access your issues on the tablet. It would be cheaper to forgo the print edition and just buy the online issues. The pictures also look better on the ipad.

This is a great magazine. I love the short articles and of course the Leica photographs. No excessive advertisement offers more photographic substance. I highly recommend this magazine!

This is a great magazine if you are a Leica fan. It has a good mix of equipment and photography.
