It kept the sun out of my eyes and it let me breath without dust getting in my mouth. It is amazing quality.

It super light weight and breathable. The flaps are long and cover a lot of area so long necks worry not lol. Very comfortable and adjustable. I have a big head (size 7 3/4 hats) so it's nice that these fit perfectly out of the box without having to adjust. The only reason i gave 4 stars is thay the plastic snap ons for the flaps seem a little suspect. The hold on real tight but the plastic seems like it'll wear out fast. I recomend andjusting them on right and leaving them on for good. Other than that, it's perfect. Easily packs down.

Very pleased with this cap for deep water sailing. We did attach a hat clip (as there's no chin strap and we've lost hats overboard in very windy conditions). However, the elastic at the back of the cap is very easy to adjust. The adjustable clip allows for precise tension settings and stayed in place without blowing off. We were able to set it tight enough that it stayed in place even in very windy conditions without giving us a headache.As I have long hair -- I appreciated that the adjustment was elastic and NOT velcro -- as it's annoying when hair gets tangled or stuck to velcro cap adjustable straps.We did not use the face-cover, but found that we really liked the snap-on fabric piece that covers the sides and back of your neck.The back fabric was not too long and was extremely lightweight. It did not hang down too long and was light enough that we didn't notice it and it did not tickle our neck or feel hot or at all uncomfortable.The placement of the hole for a pony tail was the perfect height for where I like to set my ponytail. I have long heavy, thick hair and even using a scrunchie, the hat's rear hole offered plenty of room without having to adjust the cap down or up at an awkward angle.We also liked the length of the brim. We purchased the light grey version, and while we typically prefer that the under side of a brim be black (to help with glare), we found that the light grey color was fine and did not make it either too dark or too light for all-day use.We were surprised and initially concerned that the brim came with two (intentional) creases. However, they made it easier to pack the hat and did not affect the performance. We like a slight bend at the edges of brims and this hat offered an excellent shape -- right out of the box -- that provided good periphal vision shade in very sunny conditions.The hat's cap fabric is lightweight and breathable and did not make our head feel hot.

Aced the test of use for 10 days at equator. Lightweight. Folds so well that I lost it a few times in the luggage (a huge positive to finally have a hat that isn't awkward to pack) but functions and looks great when unfolded again. Used the neck/ear drape and thoroughly covered and protected both. Wore snorkeling ... dried fast, protected well when wet, no stains from sunscreen/water. Washing machine/drier ... no problem, good as new. Pro Tip: freezes well while maintaining enough flexibility to be worn immediately out of the freezer in hot climates!

It's a neat product. I haven't used it while working yet, but it seems like it will work as intended. If not,It's cool fashion piece.The way the hat folds makes it look a little sloppy when worn.Three of the snaps were defective apon arrival. Two were molded incorrectly, I had to cut/alter them to make work. Another snap is faulty and falls apart when detached from the hat.The size adjustment feels pretty cheap.Haven't had the product long enough to say anything about durability, but because it came with broken snaps, I have a feeling more will deteriorate/fall apart later down the road.

Really like the great color, and the lightweight feel of the hat. The visor was slightly longer and I really like that. The fabric shielding is easy to attach or detach, and that material is lightweight and not hot to wear. I really would recommend this hat, especially for the price!
