It is what it is. And works

At first I really liked this pad all the buttons work and works well with the rumble pack. Until I looked closer the analogue stick is a gamecube stick not an N64 stick. If you hold up on the stick it gets stuck in the up position and you have to pull it back down as the original Nintendo stick had a hexagonal casing, Ostent have kept this shape, whereas the gamecube had a circle stick casing. On some games where you had to double click the stick up to run on the original Nintendo pad, all you have to do on the Ostent pad is push up once to run and pull back on the stick to walk. Overall this is the best third party pad that you can get, the analogue stick doesn't feel like the original Nintendo stick, but Ostent would have used the gamecube style stick as they would last longer. If your a Nintendo purist that has an original controller with a wobbly stick to fix it, wrap an elastic band around the stick and make sure it sits right in the base of the stick. It's not a permanent fix as the band will eventually wear out, but all you do is put another rubber band around it.

Surprised this doesn't have the Nintendo seal of quality 🤔 excellent. Bought as a second controller for multiplayer. I'll be buying more - It's now my primary controller.

With the title as "Nintendo 64 Grey Controller" I found it rather misleading when it arrived unbranded.Yes maybe I should have read the description (perhaps it says something there?) however I feel a more appropriate title would be "Generic Grey Controller Nintendo Design for N64" as not to cause confusion... Call me picky or whatever but I thought I payed the money for a genuine branded controller; had I have realised first I would probably have thought twice about the purchase as Nintendo own branded controllers feel much sturdier like they're built to last...

First of all, I understand that the controller is a replica, and being a cheaper third party option, there is an expected drop in quality. Over all, the buttons all worked, and require a bit more force and are a bit more clicky than my original controller (age of my original controller may play a factor this this), however, the d-pad is very mushy. It works, but seems to require different forces to push each direction, and they seem to activate at different points.The biggest issue I have though, and the reason I have rated only one star, is that the joystick cutout has 6 notches not the expected 8. On a normal controller, and even in the advertising images of this listing (which makes this false advertising), there is a detent in the up, down, left, right, and diagonal directions, so you can hold the joystick in a direction and it will lock into place, without moving around. On this replica controller, someone made the decision to have the detents as a hexagon. I don’t know of any game where you need to accurate input a 60° or 120° input, so I’m baffled as to why someone would decide this was a good idea. The item doesn’t match the pictures, and if you want an accurate replica, at least in function, of an original controller, this isn’t it.

Works Correctly for Golden Eye and Mariokart

Gutted, tried it on Goldeneye and the stick kept flying around the screen when I was not touching it. Looks like you've got to get the official Nintendo controllers really. Real shame

This controller looks and feels like the original. The 360-degree rocker looks slightly different, but plays fine. Recommended!
