It’s still noticeably cauliflower
I ordered this book a few months ago and (I somewhat) read it cover to cover before actually making anything. I’ve read a lot of other reviews and I say the author on tv, and I liked her story. That may be too much for some people and admittedly, I skip through that sometimes because that’s not what I’m after and I just want the recipes... hence it being a cookbook. I didn’t care much about reading the authors story after having heard it from her already, but I did read every recipe. I personally don’t care about stories with the recipes either. Just give me the recipe and a beautiful photo... I’ll decide from there. One thing is for certain, the index is formatted a little differently, but it does seem to be all there and the photos are beautiful! I’m a fan of beautiful photos with recipes.I believe just about every recipe does have cauliflower, or close to it. Yes, the pizza crust and bread are staples for a lot of the recipes, but at the same time there are sauces, waffles, vegan cheeses, bean dips and the like. Sometimes recipes called for additional ingredients that you also needed to make, but those additions didn’t have cauliflower. For those that didn’t read the stories, they obviously don’t understand the reasoning for the type of recipes in there.I love raw cauliflower... but cooked is a different story. I’ve made many cauliflower dishes and crusts in the last 10-12 years so I know what to expect for the most part. I’m always willing to try something new to see if it truly can be updated.The basic steps are simple, however quite tedious to create the cauliflower meal. I struggled with the stench a bit; that’s my biggest problem with mock recipes, the stench of cauliflower. Trying to get the cauliflower dry is quite the task and takes quite I while. It just never seemed to get there and I went through two sack towels to do it.The crust baking still reeked of cooked cauliflower, but honestly, what can one expect from something that is indeed made from cauliflower. I goofed and strayed by using a Silpat rather than parchment paper. FIRST THING EVER to stick to my Silpat. Weird, but okay, lesson learned.It still tasted of cooked cauliflower and I guess that’s just the way it is... it is what it is. If you don’t mind the taste and/or smell, then I think this is definitely a good option for people; however if you’re looking for a miracle that satisfies you like actual wheat flour and doesn’t taste like cauliflower, this is not it.

Inspiration for low carb eating
Beautiful photographs of new ideas and ways to use their line of pizza crusts and flatbreads. I found the brand of pizza crust at my local store, read rave reviews for the taste (true it is yummy) and wanted ideas for uses of the crusts.The cookbook has lots of great ideas for a wide variety of foods from breakfast, to dips and snacks, to pizza (veggie or not) to desserts. As a previous reviewer noted, the index ends at “N”. I also found the directions for pepperoni pizza less than clear. It seems one should ALWAYS pre-bake the crust, add toppings, then heat/broil as needed to met cheeses. I didn’t do this and we had a tasty, though limp, pepperoni pizza. I am trying avocado toast today. Recommend Cali’flour YouTube videos to get the hang of their products.As someone new to Keto / low carb eating, I find it quite valuable as another source of inspiration.

Beautiful book with healthy recipies I would enjoy eating.
The book has a lot of recipes that I will like and that my family will like. The photos are beautiful and the directions fairly easy to follow, if you can see the tiny print.The con here is that the most important part of the book, the recipes themselves, are in tiny print that is hard to read, especially when you are trying to use it in the kitchen. That is rather frustrating & seems very foolish.I am glad to have this book and expect to get a lot of use from it.

The recipes are gluten free.
I have Celiac Desease and these are gluten free recipes which I can enjoy and cauliflower is a very healthy option. Thank you.

Great information but I don't think I would go through all the trouble. The main receipe is the califlour crust. I may try it when I get the time. Good info!

Best cauliflower crust recipe
I brought this book home from the library a few days ago. After trying so many cauliflower crust recipes that have been disappointing I thought I would try one more time. The crust was great. Three ingredients. This Cali'Flour Kitchen cookbook is a keeper. I ordered my copy from Amazon the next day. You will not be disappointed. Dr Kay
