🌿 Water Your Way to a Greener Tomorrow!
The Blumat 8 mm Water Supply Tube is a 30-meter roll of flexible, white tubing designed for easy connection to Tropf Blumats. Its 8 mm fittings ensure compatibility with various systems, while the white material helps maintain cooler water temperatures, promoting optimal plant health.

white outer layer helps combat overheating of supply water
The only complaints I have about Blumat components are pricing and availability. Once you get your line pressure dialed in, the "carrots" represent an amazing savings in time, water, and based on my experience provide far superior results to hand-watering. They save far more water than other irrigation systems as well, giving plants only what they need. In terms of this product, it isn't cheap, but I have tried using cheaper 8mm tubing(not easy to find in the states) in my Blumat setup, and it failed miserably- bursting at connection points, and wasting a lot of water in the process. The closest "standard" line sizes we have more readily available here in the USA, just don't seem to fit well. This supply line is great; it even has an inner layer that's black to avoid algae growth resulting from light penetration that might be expected from pure white polyvinyl material. It's just expensive, for PVC tubing, even such high grade stuff. And at the time of reviewing, it looks like I won't be able to get more anytime soon, if I need it badly enough to justify the extra expense. If not for these two factors, I'd give it a perfect score.

Not user friendly
This stuff is not "flexible". By "flexible", they mean you can bend it... same as a piece of copper tubing. There's alot better stuff out there, like the super flex, but you will have to pay twice as much.

Bah! Adapt a quarter inch hose sanding off the barbs on 1/4" fitting to 3mm hose on BM Carrot
I love blumat watering carrots but dislike having to use their expensive connections and tubing...I figured out how to use standard 1/4" irrigation tubing and 1/4" fittings by sanding off the barbs on the 1/4" fittings and connecting directly to the bluemat 3mm hoses on the carrot.Shame on Bluemat for intionally making a product that will play well with the standard and inexpensive irrigation systems that are available everywhere.(To sand off the barbs in the 1/4" fitting I simply put me virbrating sander paper up in gently in my vice with 60 grit and then turned the 1/4" fittings held with a pair of vice grips against the paper...quick and easy and a tight fit to the 3mm Bluemat tubing on the carrot)
