Good value.
A good value for the money. A little flimsy, but not too bad.

Gotta file down some things, then it's game on!
So if yours is like mine the guys that run along the edge get stuck turning when the stick hits the wall. I simply filed the top of the stick so it was perpendicular with the bottom. Then both guys that go around the back always get stuck towards the goal. If you flip the unit upside down you'll see where it's rubbing against. I removed the blue part(both sides) and filed that and now those guys don't run. That will fix 90% of stuck issues and boy is it better. If I had paid 40$ I would be pissed but I got this as used item and it was only 20$. So I will give it 5 stars.

Family Loves the Game
Glad to find that Franklin still makes this classic table top hockey game. Let me start by saying that if you remember the original game from like the 1970's, you will notice right away that the materials used to make this hockey game are a lot less substantial (more plastics than metal) than the original. And, the original game was a little bigger with a flatter hockey puck. The rods that control the hockey figures are not nearly as stiff as the ones in the original game. So if you have little ones trying to learn this game, you may have to keep reminding them to not bend the rods, especially when they get excited and start to pull them side to side instead of sliding them in and out. This is a great game for hand-eye coordination and for figuring out how to out-maneuver your opponent. Its not a perfect game, sometimes the puck gets stuck where none of the hockey figures can quite get to it...just nudge it with your hand and continue to play. I find this game to be a little expensive, but if you have hockey/sports fans in the family, it can be a lot of fun and challenging for kids and grown-ups, even a bit of nostalgia.

Flimsy
Man I wish this was more sturdy like the ones we had back in the 90s. Looking forward to this for my nephew to play with, but one man’s stick broke after about 5 uses. The players are made out of some putty plastic and small. They don’t reach the puck like they should. The designer must have not played with it before putting into the stream of commerce. The rods are really flimsy and are hard to manipulate. If I had 3 year old hands it would make sense, but even an 8 year old hands are too big. Also, the feet on the board do not do it’s job. It the whole rink slides when 2 people are playing, so constantly readjusting the rink for players to be comfortable.

Appealed to multiple ages
This gift was a big hit. I have 2 grandsons who are 7 and 5 and they played for hours.

Do NOT purchase!
I gave the game a try despite the reviews because of the well known brand. However, Auntie unfortunately the game is VERY flimsy. I purchased this game for my grandsons late Christmas gift. We did not celebrate it earlier because my son passed away a week before Christmas. So being that they loved playing hockey with their dad on our indoor table, I purchased this so they could remain connected. Unfortunately my trust was misplaced and the game is horrible, and now we are stuck with this unplayable tabletop game, because of course it is no longer within the return window! I am beginning to wonder if they even read the reviews listed here!
