I’ve been feeding my cat Weruva BFF Minced Natural Wet Cat Food for a while now, and she absolutely loves it. The minced texture is perfect for her, making it easy to eat and digest. I appreciate that the recipe is grain- and gluten-free, focusing on high-protein, low-carb nutrition that supports her overall health. The only caution I’d add is awareness of a past recall due to a thiamine deficiency years ago, but I trust the company has resolved this and ensures quality control. Stella joined our household about 3 months ago. She had been tossed outside when the people had moved away and left her to fen for herself. So cruel and sad! That's where we came in to her rescue. She was a skinny little kitty when we got her, but now she is eating well and has multiple kitty beds and trees to make her happy. Enter...Weruva. She seems to scratch when she has poultry so we ended up trying this food for her. She adores all the flavors and I'm sure she has never eaten this well. She has gained weight and confidence in herself and is altogether a blessing to us. As i read reviews, some people say they don't like the texture. It is thick and meaty and Stella chomps away at it happily. Now we did try the stews and they were a bust being so watery you could actually pour the contents from the can. Not this one! It is nice and meaty which makes our newest baby very happy. I give her 3 cans a day with a Fancy Feast appetizer before bed and that seems to keep her content and at a good weight. Plus, I love this company. Years ago we had an older cat that had many allergies. We were having a terrible time finding foods for her that could work. I contact several of the top companies for information on their foods and Dave, the president of this company, got back with me within the hour! I was then, and still am impressed with that type of service and feel they deserve our business.

This food came highly recommended, so I got the variety pack 5.5 oz cans to test out. We've only had 1 of the cans so far, split between 4 cats as an evening treat when it was delivered. Even the can seems high quality, it was actually a little tough to open, but seemed that the food slid out better than other cans. The consistency was a little unexpected, a pate with a gel on the top. While I sometimes feel my cats don't like pate, It is easiest to split among several cats than others where you can't really see how much you are scooping out. They didn't inhale it like I thought, but seemed engaged in chomping away and taking their time with it. Which I also like, as it seemed to keep them from eating too fast - I feel it is the food, being that it is a thicker consistency than even the other pate food I've been using. They also didn't lick the bowls clean initially, but over the evening it was all eaten - and each cat seemed to eat a good serving - I have two cats that are pretty picky and will walk away - so I hope the same for the other cans. I do have a cat who's had crystals, so I use RX and otc UT specific foods, I like that this has high hydration levels, that will be good to add to my rotation bc the RX food is $$$ While I was looking for the 5.5 oz (as I split cans between 3 cats), but I'm not sure I will, or I'll use it when I split between 4 cats bc I fear it may be too filling and I don't want to waste anything.

My cat is the pickiest cat on the planet but she seems to love this food a lot the ingredients are good healthy and natural It is a little pricey but you do get larger cans It is like real food it looks good it's easy just to dump into the bowl does not cause a lot of mess or sloppiness I usually split a can in half for my cat half in the morning half in the evening It is a better alternative to some of the cheaper foods even though it is a little pricey it's definitely worth it and I love that it's family-owned

OMG Goodness I love the Weruva Brand - and its story. No Grain and highlyhydrated what my Vet suggested I get. I know the Brand Weruva. I've bought twenty cans from local Pet Store and knew my Cat ate the other kinds offered, and KNOW my Cat likes certain chicken, turkey, beef pate, liver pate, but none were offered in BULK on Amazon to choose. I know Cat does not eat the shredded chicken. And likes the Out to Lunch and Dinner pate, but these Fish Blends - I thought all Cats liked Fish - but so so Cat response. She turned her nose at the next two days feedings - NOTHING wanted NOTHING to do with them. I've never seen this Cat not even lick to taste wet food. Wondering if when you buy the bulk 'BFF" combo, they come from another mfg. location. Although they ALL should be USA. There can be a difference in 'cooking' at various plants. I'd suggest Weruva look into this Batch of Besties group of 'fish' products. I didn't smell anything like Tuna, reported in earlier REVIEW. Now there was NO fish smell. I can't use 33 remaining cans! Amazon suggested to donate and that's ok...I'll pass it forward hoping some cats will benefit. I AM So sorry this did not work out for my Cat. I loved the subscription pricing. I'm disappointed in the varieties offered. Back to drawing board. Thank YOU Amazon, you did good by me, I AM thankful.

I bought this for my 18yr old cat who has decided she doesn't want to eat anything anymore. She's had a full work up, so no medical issues. Every time I find something she likes - she stops eating it by the time I'm done with the case. I liked that there were less cans, instead of a case of 24. Cat food is really overpriced now a days, and this is no exception. This brand has good ingredients, and the right kind of ingredients. It's healthy and appropriate for cats. There are real chunks of meat and shreds of chicken. My other cat goes bonkers when I open it and meows and chases me around - he LOVES it! But, the cat I bought it for hates it! All of these flavors are TUNA based. They smell so nauseating, I gag and have to hold my breath. It doesn't smell like a can of tuna you open to eat for yourself. It smells like the worst fish market - times 10. But, not just the smell of raw fish, it's like it's spoiled raw fish. It stinks up the microwave and I have to leave it open to air it out after I've heated up the food. My 18yr old cat turned away so fast, she left her feeding station all together. I set up a bunch of different plates of food for her to try, but she wouldn't touch them or even drink her water until I took away the plate with this food. When I took it away, she went up and ate something else and drank water just fine. So, I am giving it to my other cat who loves it cause I don't want to waste it. I also don't know why it's so dark brown, it's basically black. That's weird. But, if there's no artificial colors, I guess it's like throwing your own dinner in a blender - it'll probably turn an ugly dark brown too.

TL;DR - Strong odor, good taste, high in water content. Able to deliver medicine without forcing it down throat. 10/10 My kitty contracted megacolon, where the intestines can no longer naturally work, creating life threatening bowel obstructions, requiring regular liquid medicine. I was not going to traumatize and put her in danger by forcing it down her throat. So after trying many ways, she settled on salt free tuna juice to mix the medicine in. I eventually moved to mixing Churu liquid treats for delivering her medicine. Much healthier than tuna juice. Goal 1 done. BUT, the most important part was shifting her to a wet food diet only, with nothing that has grain in it or Carrageenan. I tried all sorts of brands, except the cheap ones. Spending HUNDREDS finding something she would eat with no coaxing or finger feeding her for a hour. I found Weruva in a smaller pet store, and gave it a go. I bought the Chicken, Duck & Turkey Pate, which is rather pungent. It took some time mixing it into her water to slowly transition her from dry food. But she eventually stopped eating dry food in favor of Weruva's taste and smell. Goal 2 completed, second medicine easily mixed in with some water. Afterwards she became stable, able to eat and pass waste. That was about 8 years ago, which is incredible with her condition. She is around 15 and still has the energy of a younger cat. I recommend, 10/10 customer for life.
