CDM Gear Light Mount with 3-Slot Side Rail, Compatible with Mossberg 590 Shockwave 12 or 20 Ga

Hard to find a mount that fits on a mossberg shockwave since it's so short. Finally found one that works

The product is as described and like most other products made by this company it's quality and function are excellent. The one issue I was worried about and confirmed is that using this rail will pretty much eliminate any possibility of using a scabbard to store this gun. I have a Voodoo Scabbard and most others out there seem to be identical copies and the fit is very tight. I have had my Shockwave in it's scabbard now for 3 weeks so that it will stretch and mold to it. Today I mounted the rail adapter and as I expected it BARELY fits in, I got to force it all the way down. IT MAY stretch in a few weeks to fit the mount but surely will NEVER be able to stretch along with a flashlight or laser. I don't even know if it would fit a shockwave with a SureFire forend mounted to it. Not the fault of this product, wish there were a larger model or an adjustable one to handle a light. I have mounted a CT Laser on the receiver side so that's covered but forget a red-dot on top or flashlight on the mag tube.

Easy installation.

Went back and forth between this and the gg&g mount for my Mossberg. Settled on this because I wanted a stable rail section that I didn’t have to remove during cleaning. This absolutely fit the bill. Really like the product so far, need to put more rounds on it though.

Fits great, took punishment from 12 gauge buckshot and slugs with no issues.

When looking for a weapon light mount for the Mossberg 12 gauge Shockwave, buy this one. The GG&G mount sticks way too far out to the side, and is flimsy to boot. This one is thick aluminum, and the attention to detail is impressive. Has a pin to center the rail, and grooves to keep it from sliding. Common sense dictates a drop or two of thread locker on the screws. The sling loops are very robust.

Fits the shockwave 12 gauge shotgun. But if you unscrew the magazine cap, you will have to reinstall the Mount again. Because the barrel will become misaligned. So don’t unscrew the cap unless you must.

The maker of this product, CDM Gear, is now aware of this issue, and intends to amend the item description. This mount, despite how VERY well made it is, will NOT fit the 12g 590 Shockwave variant with Walnut furniture, the “590 Nightstick.” The gap in front of the Nightstick’s pump handle, where it is intended to be installed, by design, is apparently too narrow on the 590 Nightstick.Such a shame, as it appears to be an OUTSTANDING mount for the “polymer furniture” version of the Shockwave. I still gave it 5 stars, despite it not working for me… that’s how nice it is. And CDM/ Amazon was nice about it, and allowed the return.
