Working well after a year of constant use
Been uaing this pump im an apartment complex for close to a year. I replace a very expensive pump with this one. A year later and it is still doing well. The water I am moving is 120% F so it is fairly hot water.

It rusts and can leak
I installed one of these at the pool house for domestic water circulation. Worked great last year, even though I drained the lines it had a small leak when I filled the water this year. Also it has steel parts and rusts on the water side. Probably should not be used for domestic hot water. Since this is for showers only I night a replacement And will run antifreeze through it this winter or remove it this winter and reinstall next spring. It is inexpensive, quiet, and worked well as a circulation pump for domestic hot water return line.

Works Great, Must Also Buy Sensor Valve
Easy, straight forward installation.......it is as quiet as described...NO LEAKS (I used tape and plumbers putty). Must buy Sensor Valve for it too work, which I did

Work but never for more than 8-12 months.
I have purchased 2 of these pumps and indeed they will work and are very quiet but do not expect them to last for more than 9 months. Both failed in that time frame. They were not used continuously only when I needed to circulate hot water to a soak tub. No way to contact customer service for EXTRAUP as well. Disappointed.

It’s okay for very low head applications
Update: I use this pump to circulate water through 500ft of 1/2” poly pipe in a homemade solar water heater and even with the pool water 3’ above the pump inlet it has never performed satisfactorily but this year I put this pump on 500ft of 3/4” poly pipe and it is working like a champ. Not sure why it quit pumping in prior review but after inspecting the impeller it is working fine. It’s all cast iron design means it does rust and I take some care when it goes into storage for the windows. As in all these cheaper pumps you must orient them to keep the electric stuff above the pump. The fittings are for garden hose thread but brass adapters are included to convert to 3/4” pipe thread. I think these adapters are NPS rather than NPT but with enough thread sealant they are working for me. Original review: Used about 4 hrs per day for 6 months as circulation pump for solar heater for above ground pool. Never ran dry as about 3ft head on the suction side. Its output has dropped to nearly zero and net head is about 1 ft now so basically useless after only 6 months. Additionally: - input and output threads not well made. Took Teflon tape and extra rubber washers to get tight seal. - impeller mysteriously jammed one time. No debris that I could find. There is a removable plug to grant access to impeller and screwdriver slot on impeller to aid unjamming. - per the directions it is fussy about orientation when operating. - impeller is plastic.

Super quiet and efficient
Don't expect this to draw. But used from a flat surface to draw from a tank through a solar hot water collector, it is superb. So, I ordered three more. Diaphram pumps make too much noise and these are whisper quiet.
