The Everything Kids’ Human Body Book

this is being used as a supplement to elementary level anatomy course in homeschool for my first and fourth graders. I am pleasantly surprised at the information being very scientific (not general) and there are actually puzzles and tidbits and vocabulary words throughout. The cover of this book in a way mislead me, but I'm in NO WAY complaining about this! This is not at all babyish, yet is informative on a level that my elementary children can comprehend. this also is in an easy to read format. some other have been information scattered throughout without much of a path to follow. This is not the case from this book. I am thrilled with it, and my children seem to be finding it fun to read together.

And Enjoyable!!! Kids can learn about their bodies without having the serious talk until they are ready. Of course there is a lot available on the internet for them to learn that is alarming. The sooner they learn how their bodies work and the way Yahweh made them, the better. Children need a straight forward explanation of every area of their body, the different organs and their functions.This is a natural, matter of fact way to present it There are fun facts and great pictures. I would say it would be well received in 4th-5th grade but answers questions 6th-8th graders might have that were missed in public school. My granddaughters both had their "body" class at school but neither one were taught why girls bodies function as they do....so what's the point of the public school class? Hmmm....another agenda perhaps.Our children aren't mammals nor are they animals.....they are human and special and need the correct information presented in a fun and honest way.

Very interesting to my 5th grade home schooler.

It speaks to kids in their language, and when it does get a bit complex, it's explained. Pictures galore. Activities to make concepts more concrete. It makes learning more fun! I use it in my class of adults with learning disabilities. They respond very well to the simple directions of the activities and language of the lessons. We have a lot of fun learning with this book.

I am sure this is a very informative book but I didn't even bother reading it to my kid. There a few pictures at all. No digrams nothing to illustrate how things work. My 7 year old would lose interest in a heartbeat. We returned it and are on the hunt for a more visual book about the body.

El contenido es interesante, pero tiene MUY pocos gráficos, las hojas son amarillentas en papel ordinario y sin ningun color; resulta aburrido de leer sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que es un libro para niños.Lo peor es que no puedo devolverlo ya que resultaría mas costoso que el mismo libro; quedara en casa con la esperanza de que tal vez cuando estén mas grandes les interese.

my dear, sweet, perfect angel was amazed when i took it to her. at 9 she has her future planned out.( school, job, husband, home and children) we have told her science & math are very important if she plans on being a doctor.

A good collection of information, facts and figures about amazing human body. Good amount of fun facts too for kids

Really liked the book my nephew reads it all day long.

This book is intended for younger kids, but it would be good for any age group, as a fun way to learn about Anatomy. Great for a high school anatomy class or even a University Anatomy Course. "Playing" as you learn makes learning fun, and so much easier. Most of the pictures can be coloured, and there are lots of fun exercises, and word games.FUN FUN FUN
