Great Little Launcher!
Spent a lot of frustrating hours trying to build my own, threw in the towel and bought a real live launch controller. This one is very nicely made. The plastic case is heavy duty and everything seems high quality and well fitted/designed. Have not actually launched a rocket with it yet but have tested it with an e - match. Price point was good and it works great!

Worth every dollar
It works very well on my f and g medium power rockets worth every penny I would definitely buy it again.

Great for a full day at the launch site.
I like that it uses C alkaline batteries so you launch all day without having to change batteries. Super easy to use, insert the key, press and hold the left button then press the right (launch button) to launch. It has a good weight to it, even without the batteries, it is comfortable and stable to hold. Itās the perfect size for two handed operation. Itās built very well and will last a long time. It is built to launch multiple engines rockets, up to four engines and has the wiring diagrams for two, three and four engines. I still keep my blue pro II series launcher in my tool box as a backup but this is my main launch controller.

Works great with the lipo option
I had been using the Estes Electron Beam launch controller that came with the starter kit but when I bought a rocket that used Aerotech motors and igniters, it didnāt have the power to ignite it! I was running RC stuff that day too, so I pulled the wires out of it and touched them across a 3s lipo I had. That worked great and I was going to keep it that way. But a couple weeks later I saw this pop up on sale and decided yo buy it. It has an option to install a small lipo using a jst plug. I put a 3s 1000mah lipo in it and it has ignited everything I have thrown at it! I checked the battery after 10 launches and it was still reading over 4 volts per cell!! I could have kept using the wire to battery method but this adds an air of professionalism to our launch days.

Great rocket controller.
This is the best of the Estes launch controllers that I have. Works great. The grandkids love the beeping sound that it makes before launch. Just make sure that the clips not being used are not touching or there will be a short circuit and no ignition.

Best launch controller for PS2 and E/F and aerotech
First of all it will easily ignite a psII igniter but not on C batts. If you read the instructions you will see that hooking a 3S lipo to the jst plug port in the batt bay will make it strong enough to ignite 4 ProSeries 2 igniters at once! This thing is a beast on 3S lipo!!! In my opinion its best controller u can buy for the money cuz of the multi battery functionality. Runs nicad batt packs as well as lipo and ofcourse C batts for E/F motors. I launch aerotech engines all day

Engineers need to rethink this- Better quality components would improve this controller
Expensive for the quality. Iām hoping someday Estes will bring manufacturing back to the US. I like the features. Feel the rocker switches are flimsy and may wear out. Purchased two lipo 1100 mah batteries with JST connector- fit of JST connector is loose - and battery was a 3S, (took some manipulation to get to fit and stay in place The safety key is a loose fit. Be nicer if it was keyed or better quality- simple pin and chunk of plastic š If you use frequently, you may have issues later with loose battery cover. Requires removal of 5-6 screws to open battery pack (foolish design) plastic and metal screws will be an issue later (holes will become loose if not careful 6 āCā size batteries will make it a bit heavy. The liPo batteries are nice - (Estes could do all a favor and recommend a brand that fits. - likely wear or damage springs that are for the C size batteries (had to cram the liPo battery in place and make sure it was pushing against the JST connector to keep it from falling out If I decide to keep it, I will be modifying it to. Allow external power source without removing the cover. This will allow me to swap out batteries if needed I want something that will launch quite a few rockets for a STEM event and this was my hope. Too disappointed in the smaller controllers Estes sell. Will update as I see how this works.
